  1. I'm working on some EA82 lifts...don't know the price though, not sure if I can compete...as the lift market seems kind of saturated.
  2. I second rockauto. They are $20 a piece...add shipping. You order on Monday, usually get them by Wednesday.
  3. I PM'd you. Did you get my address?
  4. I second the Krylon Fusion, or third it, I forgot.
  5. When you say "downpipe" I think of the pipe coming off the back of the turbo. Do you mean the "Y"pipe that comes off the heads and into the catylitic convertor?
  6. I'd guess the outlet of the stock system to be 1" to 1.25". I wouldn't put anything that would restrict the flow. What you'll have is the water pump trying to push 20gph through a 5gph pump if the system is setup like that and if it's the other way, the 5gph pump would starve the 20gph pump of water and cause cavitation and probably over heat. Find a pump with a bigger outlet/inlet and maybe higher gph, you'll be onto something. I thought about doing something like this on my Turbo'd GL-10. I know some VWs have electric water pumps that will run after the ignition is turned off to cool the car faster.
  7. Were the timing belts on it when you received it? They could be off timed. (I did this)
  8. Wow, sorry to hear about this. Hopefully things get better and you get your van back up to par.
  9. All the heads are the same, I believe. Except the turbo heads and the occasional Multi-Port head. They have 2 intake ports per head. the thing to do would get the heads pressure tested at a machine shop.
  10. I paid, haven't received yet. Address PM'd
  11. Maybe try occluding some of the radiator with a piece of cardboard? Start with 1/3 of it covered...then reduce if you want it cooler. That's why you see semi trucks with covers over their radiators... it reduces airflow and keeps the engines up in the prime operating temp range.
  12. Coughvendorforumcough I'll tell my friends about you, they have webers that need some lovin.
  13. So when it's in drive, does the speed go up when you give it gas? If you break an axle in an automatic, it'll send the power to the broken one, even in 4wd.
  14. Yup, check under the rear seat for a rubber grommet right in the middle. Pull it and you should see a bolt head, it's a 17mm or 19mm, that is your torsion adjustment. I think if you "loosen" it, it will lower the rear.
  15. Check this out, it's in the Ultimate Subaru Repair Manual (USRM). This is the write up... and this are some notes of interest. The USRM is a link to the top right the USMB page. GD, he's new, he needs to be shown the path.
  16. Ah man . I can remember when this thread was brand new. That's crazy that you got an %11 increase. Keep us up to date on if it's a fluke or what. I tried this, to no noticable difference in gas mileage...then again, I had a gas sucking turbo.
  17. ::Insert shameless plug:: I know a company that can make you a sweet bumper with hitch.
  18. How much of a difference in horsepower is the EA81 with the SPFI mod than an EA82 spfi?
  19. You could do as I did with my offroad wagon. I took the ignition out completely. I wired one of those switches with the red protective cover to turn the ignition on and another to turn the accessories on. Looks pretty cool. I still have a push button. Come to think of it, if I didn't know better, I'd think that all subes came with push button, all 5 of my old gens had them, before I owned them...weird.
  20. They make "Starter Buttons" that are built to take the load of starting.
  21. I think I'm addicted. I hit this page up everytime I goto my computer, it's almost my homepage...my email is right now. I get a kick out of everyone's posts and rides...I feel some sort of connection with everyone here...is there a SAA(Subaru Addicts Anonymous)?
  22. Well all have these days... Mine was yesterday, I've driving my RX since I sold my outback. It's been fun, but with a 4eat, not too fun. I broke a timing belt, it has less than 10k on it too... Hope you get your car running soon, with ease.
  23. If you're into four wheeling, get a newer car and use the wagon for off road fun. I'll tell you this...you'll regret getting rid of the old gen.
  24. Pretty hard, I have an '89 RX that's a 4speed automatic:rolleyes:. Some people don't believe me.
