  1. Well i hope jb weld holds up well because im soon going to be attempting to fix the hole in my transmission case on my tt350 dirtbike.
  2. I would have traded you my lovely 1988 mazda b2200 for it.
  3. Some of my two favorite vehicles subaru and jeep. Gotta love that.
  4. Well assuming that the problem is it is out of time there are two things you can try. One is try to advance the distributor and see if that makes it run better and if that dont work (assuming the issue is timing) then you will likley just need to replace the timing belt.
  5. Lets assume hes not pulling the disty off a beautiful hatch and it is simply an ea82. In that case the answer would be no.
  6. Well i am sort of curious how my ea81 would run on jager LOL
  7. LOL, im willing to stay sober for the event. How bout this anyone caught with liquor has to pour it in their suby and run it
  8. Im just curious if anyone on here has stories of towing certain things with their subarus or other vehicles that should not have been able to be towed by that vehicle. For instance heres a couple of mine. A bit ago my mazda b2200 ran out of gas in my field and of course at the time i had no gas and not only that my chevy truck and my buggy didnt have any either and my parents cars were all gone at the time so all i had to tow with was an 86 tt350.... dirtbike. I hooked it up to the back bumper and strapped the tow rop the a metal mount on the fender of the bike (thank god 80s dirtbikes are made strong) and slowly started going forward constantly feathering the clutch to prevent it from popping a wheely and throwing me off the back. I just about made it back into the garage when my clutch cable broke but i was pretty impressed it was able to make it that far. Another one is when i used my ea81 buggy to pull my old 6,200 lbs 6.2 diesel blazer out of the snow. It got it out but i was revving that thing like crazy. I actually put this metal gate under the tires to get traction and evetually was able to get it out with some friends helping me push the blazer at the same time. Now whats some of your stories?
  9. Im up for helping as well if he needs an extra hand. All hes gotta do is provide the good music, perhaps some drinks, and the promise to go mobbin with us once its all ready
  10. Well it was pretty late so that could have something to do with it. I know i dont generally pay attention that well at 2 am Now as for getting more power im not sure what to say with this one. Generally if someone asks me how the squeeze out more power in there suby the first thing i say is to put on a weber carb but seeing as how this already has spfi i dont think there would be a point in putting in a weber.
  11. If you are able to own guns another good solution is a 12 gauge with beans or rubber balls in it. They are non lethal but believe me you would not wanna be on the wrong end of a pelting by one of those.
  12. This is a fun song to play in my buggy. And for all you hippys (this is a subaru forum so theres gotta be some ) dont forget grateful dead. thats always fun to play in a suby. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4SqDx1vi4c
  13. Dead Kennedys California Uber allies seems like a good song to drive a brat in.
  14. Just like some day ill actually go to college LOL
  15. LOL while were at it should we remind him which street the prostitutes hang out at in Spokane (Sprague)
  16. Well i live in Athol which is about 50 miles from spokane but we go there quite a bit. Housing is pretty cheap and stuff is pretty affordable though they do have some rediculous taxes on things. For instance if you do smoke now would be a good time to quit because they are about $8 a pack there, or at least come to idaho and buy them cheap LOL. overall its a pretty nice place to live and if you can get a good job here its worth going to.
  17. Id probly be interested in going
  18. I have this 1988 mazda b2200 and when i got it figured out it had a dead battery so i go put a charger on it. I go out after a while and try to start it and while the ignition is on (not turning over) it makes this weird humming noise that appears to come from the disty. It sounds almost like being around a transformer and it just started happening today. ive tried charging the battery for a couple hours and it appears it simply is not going to hold a charge. Could it have been possible i damaged something with the charger on it? All the lights and everything work and the starter will click but it will not turn over and makes a weird humming noise when its on.
  19. mine did this before and it went back to the cable being bad. does it make any difference whether your in 2wd or 4wd?
  20. He got the motor from me and it had always ran great i used coolant in it and it never had any leaks. it did sit in the cold snap but i did drain the coolant from it so it should have been good. At my house we drove it up on the trailer with no coolant but it was -10 with severe winds and was only running for less then a minute so i highly doubt that caused it to fail. it possibly had a little bit of water in it from what did not drain but i wouldnt think that little bit left in there would cause a block to crack.
  21. Yes that might be possible. i know it makes an awful squealing noise and appears to have smoke coming out of certain vaccum tubes left on it. my friend told me i just need to plug those up but im not so sure about that.
