  1. Im just curious if anyone on here has stories of towing certain things with their subarus or other vehicles that should not have been able to be towed by that vehicle. For instance heres a couple of mine. A bit ago my mazda b2200 ran out of gas in my field and of course at the time i had no gas and not only that my chevy truck and my buggy didnt have any either and my parents cars were all gone at the time so all i had to tow with was an 86 tt350.... dirtbike. I hooked it up to the back bumper and strapped the tow rop the a metal mount on the fender of the bike (thank god 80s dirtbikes are made strong) and slowly started going forward constantly feathering the clutch to prevent it from popping a wheely and throwing me off the back. I just about made it back into the garage when my clutch cable broke but i was pretty impressed it was able to make it that far. Another one is when i used my ea81 buggy to pull my old 6,200 lbs 6.2 diesel blazer out of the snow. It got it out but i was revving that thing like crazy. I actually put this metal gate under the tires to get traction and evetually was able to get it out with some friends helping me push the blazer at the same time. Now whats some of your stories?
  2. Im up for helping as well if he needs an extra hand. All hes gotta do is provide the good music, perhaps some drinks, and the promise to go mobbin with us once its all ready
  3. Well it was pretty late so that could have something to do with it. I know i dont generally pay attention that well at 2 am Now as for getting more power im not sure what to say with this one. Generally if someone asks me how the squeeze out more power in there suby the first thing i say is to put on a weber carb but seeing as how this already has spfi i dont think there would be a point in putting in a weber.
  4. If you are able to own guns another good solution is a 12 gauge with beans or rubber balls in it. They are non lethal but believe me you would not wanna be on the wrong end of a pelting by one of those.
  5. I know ill be free to go then if i can tag along but its still up in the air on whether or not i can get a trailer for the buggy.

  6. I have a subaru dune buggy type thing made out of a subaru brat. It has an ea81 with a 4 speed dual range. If you like some pics shoot me an email at brumbyracer420@gmail.com or if you do fb you can add me under jeremy gerhardt and see the pics there.

  7. This is a fun song to play in my buggy. And for all you hippys (this is a subaru forum so theres gotta be some ) dont forget grateful dead. thats always fun to play in a suby. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4SqDx1vi4c
  8. Dead Kennedys California Uber allies seems like a good song to drive a brat in.
  9. Just like some day ill actually go to college LOL
  10. Ok sounnds good. I do have a friend whos into subarus (he built the frame for my buggy) and i can see if hed be interested in coming with us if youd like. For now i need to get me a disty cap for the buggy that works. Anyways you can call/text me at 208 625 1312 and ill keep ya filled in on if i can find a trailer.

  11. Hey i would be interested in attending that 4wd meet but in order to go ill have to try and scrounge up a trailer since the buggy is pretty far from street legal. Anyways ill let ya know if i can get one in time.

    thanks Jeremy

  12. LOL while were at it should we remind him which street the prostitutes hang out at in Spokane (Sprague)
  13. Well i live in Athol which is about 50 miles from spokane but we go there quite a bit. Housing is pretty cheap and stuff is pretty affordable though they do have some rediculous taxes on things. For instance if you do smoke now would be a good time to quit because they are about $8 a pack there, or at least come to idaho and buy them cheap LOL. overall its a pretty nice place to live and if you can get a good job here its worth going to.
  14. Yeah same here man had a lot of work going on lately. For now what i seriously need to do is get a working battery for my buggy. hate to say so but lately the thing has kinda taken a back seat since ive been working on my mazda truck (for sale soon here) and my dirtbike. still need to take it out. just sucks not having a single top post battery in your possession LOL

  15. I have this 1988 mazda b2200 and when i got it figured out it had a dead battery so i go put a charger on it. I go out after a while and try to start it and while the ignition is on (not turning over) it makes this weird humming noise that appears to come from the disty. It sounds almost like being around a transformer and it just started happening today. ive tried charging the battery for a couple hours and it appears it simply is not going to hold a charge. Could it have been possible i damaged something with the charger on it? All the lights and everything work and the starter will click but it will not turn over and makes a weird humming noise when its on.
  16. mine did this before and it went back to the cable being bad. does it make any difference whether your in 2wd or 4wd?
  17. Yeah i have a shooting range in my backyard as twitch saw when he went there to find the masive piles of shells LOL. Would there be any chance youd be able to make it up to moyie because i plain on going and hopefully taking the buggy. its on may 6th and 7th and its a blast. My friend Rob (uberoo) is taking his suby up there. it now has a divorced transfer case and efi in it. Here is a video of him doing some offroading back when it was stock

Speaking of which im not sure whether or not he still has them but he had a set of 26 inch tractor tyres mounted to suby wheels he was selling for $150. those would make some awesome trail tyres for ya.
  18. Yeah no kidding. ive actually owned enough ea81 vehicles and though i loved them all i think this time around id like to own something like the loyale you have or possibly something with an ej in it. who knows at this time but ill find something i enjoy. As you may or may not have known im an insane gun nut and love all things the go boom and fire so im think i may go buy myself a couple cool little boom sticks and have some fun with those tell i have the need for a subaru this winter :)

  19. Hey how you been doing lately? been really busy. am working off my debt to get a mazda b2200 pickup. yes not my first choice in vehicles but nobody else is paying me with a running truck to work so im happy. plus i can always trade for what i really want which would be a subaru and some guns.

  20. He got the motor from me and it had always ran great i used coolant in it and it never had any leaks. it did sit in the cold snap but i did drain the coolant from it so it should have been good. At my house we drove it up on the trailer with no coolant but it was -10 with severe winds and was only running for less then a minute so i highly doubt that caused it to fail. it possibly had a little bit of water in it from what did not drain but i wouldnt think that little bit left in there would cause a block to crack.
