  1. Hey i saw your car and ust realized, its a shame i didnt know you last summer because i had an entire parts subaru with the exact same body in great condition but it needed to go so unfortunately it is in pull n save now.

  2. What does it need to run good? im no mechanical genius but i have no problem coming by and turning some wrenches and getting covered in a little suby sludge LOL. And i usually go to Rathdrum and mob around when i get a chance. How many lugs are the wheels. I think i might have a couple little 13s lying around. they dont have great tread but they have some so if yours are bald these will definetly be an improvement. ill go out and check what size they are and if they will fit you can have em. my buggy runs 31s so i have no use for em LOL.

  3. PS sorry its a little late but happy birthday!

  4. ive been doing great. doing lots of 4wding and having fun. You ever get your legacy yet?

  5. For the money it would take to make a somewhat reliable ea82 twin turbo setup you could get an ej25t with a 6 speed and swap it into that old wagon and make one heck of an awesome car that would make all the USMB folk including me drool. Now of course even that is gonna be very very expensive and unless you happen to have a ton of money not plausible for the time being. Now if you want a good boost of power that is fairly easy to install and very reliable go for an ej22. or perhaps see about a frankenmotor if you want some really awesome power.
  6. A well mantained subaru will almost always go well over 200,000 miles without any major issues. The 2.5 did have some head gasket issues but the majority were from the late 90s, 97 i believe was the worst year but im not 100% sure. As far as i know a 2006+ suby shouldnt be prone to any major head gasket issues and should last a long time. and if you stick around im sure youll find many subaru owners on here with subys still running good with over 300,000 miles and i think theres a couple with subys that have well over 500,000.
  7. Yes sadely your right. i honestly have no idea if its even possible to do this to one but ive had an ea82t before and i those things have enough trouble running at their stock pace. with a twin turbo set up unless you put some serious mods into it i doubt that motor will live to see its next oil change.
  8. This is far to great of an idea and would work too well. the government and oil companies will simply not allow it.
  9. Not to mention where on earth do you get premium for $2.60 a gallon? oh yeah this was posted in 2005!!!. Stupid gas prices!!!
  10. i honestly done see a difference in the performance in my ea81 with regular fuel but then again its a dune buggy and has no mile gage so the mpg its gets is really only a rough estimate. and yes i dont believe ethanol is pointless because even though we do need to conserve gas id be more worried about the world wide hunger caused by the fact that so much corn is being used for fuel. Plus it surely drives up the price of whiskey
  11. I know it took a while due to delays but me and my friend finally got that justy home we were talking about. apparently it does not need a clutch but thats nothing compared to what were in for now. we started it up to find a large cloud of smoke and it had such little compression that it took four people plus the car floored to get it up the ramp on the trailer. Its also leaking fluid and i cant tell 100% if its a cracked block or not because it doesnt have water in the oil but im pretty sure its fair to assume we might as well just put in a new motor. So for now we are in the process of trying to find a decent motor to drop in it. It currently has 139,000 miles.
  12. Ha this brings back funny memories. i remember the old 81 gl wagon i owned hadnt run in about 7 years. when i finally started it up i turned on the heater and it flung out a bunch of spiders all over me. seeing as how im scared as hell of spiders that was scary. And the dash was cracked like no other LOL
  13. heres a link to some pics of the buggy and the other things i offroad in.

  18. ok ill post them in a little bit. i posted some pics on your thread but a mod took em off cause he though i just posted them for no reason.

  19. thats a pretty crazy wreck. me and some friends rolled subaru wagon once at a rally party. ill put on some pics up when im at my other computer. i actually still used that car for quite a while until the water pump siezed. i then sold it to uberoo one of the members on here.

  21. from what ive been told the stock boost level on that motor is a 7 psi. i dont suggest raising it either but ive been told 10 to 15 depending on how healthy the motor currently is is the limit before having serious risk of breaking things.
  22. Unfortunately i cant figure out how to load pics via message but if you like shoot me an email at brumbyracer420@gmail.com and id be happy to send ya some more detailed pics. And if your ever up in my neck of the woods hit me up. im over by silverwood. i just finally got the buggy reliable enough that id trust taking a long trip so one of these days well have to go do some offroading. what kinda legacy do you got?
