  1. thanks tom, if i unplug the maf sensor it makes no difference ,i have alot of spare sensors etc... so we should be able to get it running , before i screwed with it it ran pretty good and good mpg , just a slight surging the first mile or so then it was great ,
  2. cleaned the ivac valve , no change , all vacuum lines are good, it was alittle dewy this morning , a very bad surging problem now in the morning , this afternoon is started ok then quit , while ideling you could hear the surging , i have given up , any suggestions ,before I BURN IT TO THE GROUND

  5. i changed the coolant temp sensor ,no difference , i 'll go out and check all vacuum lines again , anything else that might cause it ?

  7. also it was running ok, until i messed w/ the maf censor and changed it , but i put the old 1 back in ,because it would not stay running ,
  8. well the seats, doors, glass, fenders , hood, rims -tires, headlights, the motor will work and fit but there is a wirring harness difference between a gl-gl10 turbo
  9. it is a 88 gl spfi d/r 4wd wagon , it will start good ,then after a few seconds it will die , after doing this a few times it will stay running and warmes up , all this is after it sits and the motor is cold , any suggestions ? if so location of the problem
  10. i went to change it out, and must of some how pulled the wires loose , it runs pretty good now ,are all maf censors the same in spfi? because the ones i have there are different part #s on them

  13. do something with a family setting , and include safety, awd etc.... and of course room , price compared to other awd cars . some people may go off roading which is fine , but i think the majority of people want a safe awd car ,

  16. or alittle cheaper , 2in pipe from cat back, ngk plugs, accell coil, k-n filter , bottom of air box cut out, new dist cap, rotor , 8mm wires,
  17. welcome , i sold a rusted out fwd 5sp wagon and it ran good , but i have others to drive
  18. you can take out the bottom of the air box , which i did on my full time 4wd turbo a/t wagon , it's hard to tell if it helps because i did alot of other things, will give it a cool sound , i also put in a k-n filter , accell coil, ngk plugs, cat mod, and using dura blend castrol 10-w-30 , about 24mpg city, 28mpg hi
  19. well on my 88 turbo full time 4wd a/t wagon , the front drivers side had a hole in the bag so i replaced both fronts, now the back is leaking all the time , so i am going to replace the back with regular springs and shocks , because i have burned out 2 alt's , it is a real pain , alittle o- rings, which auto zone has a pk with 1 in it , good luck
  20. i have 1 gray cargo cover for sale , but it will not roll back , i have took it apart but no luck, still clean no rips, 20 bucks + shippiung and it's yours , fits 2000 outback wagon
  21. i have a chance to get a xt6 , will a single range tranny that is already in an xt fit and work in an xt6 ? are the xt6 ' s motors the same as regular ea82 motor ? like timming belts, water pumps, etc...
