  1. well just in case that you could not fix your girlfriends car , always worked for me

  3. wine and dine her in the subaru , alittle soft music from the radio , a bowl of grapes, some good canjun cooking
  4. around here 800 or 900 dollars , i just sold a fwd 5sp with 181,000mi alot of rust 300 bucks , but had all new seals, good tires, ac worked, am-fm radio, so different parts of the country bring different prices
  5. not trying to be smart , go to subaru .com and do a dealer search , it will give you locations + phone # 's

  7. maybe a good time to replace the fan belts, i suggest oem , because aftermarket can stretch , plugs and wires, air filter , pvc, fuel filter ,
  8. what part of pa ? a few of us may be coming that way to get a turbo wagon very soon
  9. well i just about had the same trip but shorter , a 5hr trip took 13 hrs , truck problems , tornado's and no lights on the trailer , for a 88 single range xt4 turbo with a blown headgasket

  11. i have a 88 full time 4wd a/t turbo gl-10 wagon w/ 90,000mi , make sure you run a 2row radiator , mine also had the air struts ,but i had to replace the fronts , mine runs great and shifts good , k-n filter , acell coil, ngk plugs, 2in pipe all the way back
  12. is there a ac belt on , does the compressor turn at all ? it might just need recharged, but i would say it has r12 in it , all the old oil and r12 has to taken out ,, and replace all o- rings , switch over to r134 it is much cheaper
  13. it is a turbo full time 4wd a/t gl-10 wagon, with digital dash no volt gauge
  14. well having a few problems , 1- i keep on burning up alt's , i put on a 60 amp , which is the last spare i have , where are all the grounds located ?
  15. also remember the dl has no power locks or power windows , which is ok ,but it sure is nice to aleast have power locks
  16. well check underneith the car around rocker panels, underneith all 4 doors for rust, check any major oil leaks , but subaru's like mine leak alittle oil, but remember that after you buy it that the timing belts might have to be changed along with the water pump and seals , check drive axles inner outer boots , drive it and see how hot the radiator gets, check ac, heater , look at all records, well being automatic they can go bad and at 155,000mi , bepending on price
  17. checked fusible links they are ok , charge fuse is good, dimmer switch is good,
  18. ok, it just seems odd that just a few weeks ago i had the same problem , i changed the alt and it was fine
  19. my wife made a point , each time the alt went out it was rainnig????
  20. all the red lights come on now , i just put a good alt in it , it is a 88 a/t turbo full time 4wd wagon , would it be the alt ? or something else ?
  21. go with gl-10 seats fronts and back just my opinion
  22. but of course that price is here in this part of ohio and only 1 place that i know of
  23. cleaned out , 2 in pipe, turbo muffler, 100 total included labor
