  1. ngk plugs, acell coil, cut out bottom of air box and run a k-n filter , gap your plugs at at .45 , 2 inch pipe from the cat back ,turbo muffler , no center cat , if you have a turbo motor , i call it the big football cat cut it out and run 2 in pipe back , there might be a few more like bumping up your timming ,
  2. this has been asked before alot, the engine has not been driven alot , i have driven it 500 mi with clean oil, good filter , should i use motor flush or tranny fluid ?, which might be better to use ? and of course replace oil and filter ,
  3. i had the same problem , i used a xt clutch fan , it is shorter , and has another fan blade
  4. no , but but with a few changes they will , bottom track on seat must be swapped , mine are in my dl right now
  5. well the dash lights are not working , we replaced the dimmer switch and the lights worked , when we started up the car , no dash lights , on my 88 dl 4wd manual wagon the alt was pretty warm even after sitting 10 min ,
  6. yes everthing was hooked up ok, but the alt got real hot , so i shut it down , and ran out of time to work on it ,
  7. ok, i replaced the alt in my 88 turbo a/t full time 4wd wagon , replaced dash light dimmer dash lights were good , did some other work , no dash lights, also alt is real hot to the touch ,should i replace the alt again ? thanks
  8. could check your drive axles , looking underneith the front at the inner outer boots , just a guess ,
  9. ok we all know that dl are stripped down , my question is there a way to put power lock unlock on it like the gl's ??? or do you have to put power front locks in , which i am going to ?

  11. hello all, my alt on my 88 turbo full time 4wd a/t gl-10 wagon went out , so i replaced it , now the dash lights are out , clock , floor shifter light , are all out , the digital part is ok , is there a breaker fuse or reset somewhere ??
  12. i think it is the lug nut wrench , might be other tools also
  13. save everything , i have done 3 all that was left ,was the frame and glass , put the bolts on pretty loose for the struts and put it onto a trailer ,push it off at a junkyard ,then jack it up and remove the hole strut brake stuff ,and drive off
  14. welcome , if you can buy a parts car and park it behind the house , when you need any parts walk out back and get them or strip it down , but always remember where you put the parts at , not like me forgot ,
  15. yes you do get what you pay for, but around here there are no more subaru's ,i have bought them all , all the junkyards crushed all they had, all the auto stores have to order parts for me every time , so having parts from other cars sure does come in handy

  17. i have a 88 turbo a/t full time 4wd wagon w/ 88,000mi , i get 23 city 28 hi way, big cat cut out ,2in pipe all the way back turbo muffler , i run 87 octine , but i may try a tank of 93 or 94 from shell ,
  18. thanks, well my wife did help , she has longer fingers and smaller hands , i think i read awhile ago that you could change the bulbs and even buy them at radio shack , not sure of the #
