  1. i drilled through the head of that bolt and safety wired that thing on. i was scared of exactly this!
  2. wont foam hold water in? you need that to drain. what i did is weld some angle iron on top of what was there. its been years, and its only got surface rust now.
  3. what had happened is the screw had fell out of the rotor shaft and it got out of position.
  4. agree line up the mark on the flywheel, if XT4
  5. update. i had it towed, the shop has had it for 2 days. they did compression check, its good they test fuel pressure and injector, good they suspect spark but no call from them and it has a nice blue spark. :-\
  6. spark is a big check changed the coil just in case to no affect.
  7. guys im having the same problem. car wont start after runing out of gas. motor is getting fuel i saw it when i had someone crank the motor and i took off the intake boot from the throttle body. i ran the battery dead trying to start it and then swapped batteries. :-\

  12. 15 doesnt sound like a lot to me. go for more. yeah recirving the disty will make a great increase in mileage and power, thats if you want that kind of thing.
  13. its been a few weeks and i can say that the pedal is engaging lower already. this is a sure sign of cable stretch. some chatter is present
  14. i dont know much about your car, but is the distrubitor been recurved (the advance springs), hows the vacuum advance hooked up? usually this helps a lot. are the jets correct? im going to give you the benefit of the doubt in that you have the proper jets for your car. whats the initial timing?
  15. sounds like an expirement. seal the cap on with form a gasket and see.
  16. i have upgraded shafts now chrome moly not cheap i need to buy a unit bearing next. front wheel bearing lasted 248k miles.
  17. i think the joints them selves can be replaced its getting the old ones out thats a bugger
  18. i would check to make sure any wheel weights came off from the offroad? and replace the u joint any play is BAD.
  19. the fumes man the fumes! that and it runs rich with no mufler
  20. so the exhaust got ripped off again this sucks, my cat (pictured) is ruined and the rest got twisted and trashed. thats another $200 or so down the drain the front part came out ok.
  21. thats so nice for a hundred. unbeleivable.
