*RUNS OUT TO CAR TO CHECK AXLE NUT* Austin told me about that i'm sick right now so i totally forgot... I'll see if thats the problem thanks.

On the 83 wagon recently the front drivers side wheel has begun to squeal around right turns while rolling under no acceleration very very badly and not so much around left turns. It goes away if its going in a straight line and has a load on it. Comes back real bad at about 2-5mph. Seems to not matter whatI do around right turns it will squeal anyway. I'm thinking it has something to do with the CV or the wheel bearing maybe? Its pretty annoying and embarrassing!

I'm having major home computer problems and I can't even login to the board. Something about the computer constantly deleting all the cookies despite cookie controlls being off. I told ya all the pickle would still do good with no ea81t engine! N/a all the way woop.

It must have had something to do with the Ihop breakfast that qman treated us too.

YES!!!!!! I think it would be a great idea. I didn't read all the other replys to this thread soo heres something I think would be cool to be featured. (A readers ride section duh) Off road subarus, old and new. Allow readers to send in photos from events such as pro/club/rallys and rally cross. And leave commentary or something cool like that. I hope that made sense. lol :cool: And obviously I would subscribe!

That would be helpful! It still pings slightly on the freeway under full acceleration. And galen... The wagon actually does run good now other then the slight ping at high speeds. Gets about 28mpg in the city too!

I went to Warren and he made it pass sorta... It probably would have passed with the weber even if he did nothing to it but oh well. Heres the results with the hitachi leaned out as much as it could be and de emissioned. With the weber I believe the engine is originally from an 84 sedan. It has hydro lifters. The car itself is an 83 gl wagon.

I had to throw on my weber... And now the wagon passed emissions! It blows clean as a wissle! On the way back I got pulled over for expired tabs and it was pretty funny the cop was cool. Hes like so you are having trouble passing emissions eh? And i'm like HA! just passed today. So he wrote me a warning and commented that he had a 87 subaru wagon and he loved it, but he couldn't get it to pass emissions haha.

Well... I can't really set the timing. I have an ea82 flywheel and didn't bother transfering timing marks cause it was a rush rush type of thing. I'll try the moving back a few little bit though and even the disty advance thing. Or I will suggest it to the emissions dude tomorrow see what he thinks if we can't get it to pass.

I failed cruise emissions I passed idle everything with flying colors!

Ya it was so hot it overheated the first time and sprayed antifreeze all over the ground! I wish they would let u stay in the car cause I want to monitor the gauges! It was on H. Fan thermo switch failed.

So I passed idle CO with flying colors! but failed cruise emissions. So what does this mean? How would i fix the problem? I have done everything... Plug wires and plugs, new oil, new gas, good filter, it was hot, its leaned out as far as the hitachi will go. I ran 87 octane... I was going to take it to the emissions specialist but he seemed to want to take a few days off when I was ready to have it pass and he wasted my trip permit for me. heh. Anyway the car runs great and it gets like 30mpg in the city! I'm just at a loss of how to tune it any better. It will idle at 610rpms great. We did the timing at about 200rpms we could see the words on the belts as they went by. Any ideas? New air filter? What would trying it with no air filter do?

I didn't have any food in my stomach for over 24hours when I posted that... I looked at it under overall and counted from the top to my name and I got 27 i'll go do it again and see if I get the same number... Its kinda hard when you have to count and theres no number by your name. Maybe I am looking at the wrong list or something? (Wow i was smokin crack LOL I dunno how i got 27? I wasn't tryin to openly lie about it I just counted hella wrong. Scrolling while counting and loosing track of the name and forgetting must have messed me up.) LMAO! My dad got it for one of his volvos a while back at this small auto paint dealer or outlet type store on lake city way. Kinda by the spagetti house. I have no idea what street it is.:-\ edit... Its about 2 or 3 blocks south of spagetti house and les shwab shwab is on the left spagetti is on the right if ur going north. The paint place is on the right if your going north.

I use it on the hatch the wagon the volvos... Ya it works I clean some of the rust off make it so its clean rust and apply it and it never comes off. Great stuff!

Well here I saw them racing a Ae86 toyota corrolla and I know thats rwd and probably an 86. So my the volvo is a 73 so ya never know...
