  1. Good luck with the bidding! Maybe there's been a thread in the past regarding the rear jump seats and how they came to be! If not, it would be a fun one to start! That darn 25% truck import tax killed the beloved Brat!
  2. Welcome aboard Cider! Nice solid BRAT to start from, can't wait to see all the mods! Best, BB
  3. Looks sweet, really nice choice on the wheels!
  4. Great looking Brat and pics! I'm diggin' the "White on White", together it gives off a very "Stormtrooper / Snowtooper" look!
  5. This sounds promising...

"Should have a pic for you tomorrow. The "chrome" is really nice."

I'm a little confused by the second half of the message though...

"I did notice a small above the eye."

    Thanks,

    Eric

  6. Let me know about the center cyclops grills condition and availability. You can send a pic to erictimm@mac.com or post one to the wanted thread. Thanks! Eric

  7. Ok, this thread has been getting a lil' light on the Awesome Subaru "BRAT" side of things so here's one for ya'! Cabela's is one of our clients and I'm currently working on redesigning their packaging and I was doing a stock photo search today on shutterstock and what do I see, I said to myself..."No Friggin' Way!" P.S. Let me know if any of you want the high-res version of this bad boy, I downloaded the 8.5 x 11 at 300dpi version! Although, of course it's for "EDITORIAL USE ONLY!"
  8. Hey, Sorry for the delay. I purchased a NOS front bumper for my Brat already and the one you have would've been a back up, but with knowing that there's issues starting with the chrome already I'm probably going to pass. Best, Eric

  9. Shawn, You also mentioned a larger disc from another EA81 model that could be used for the front disc brakes on the BRAT, was it a 84' XT Coupe?
  10. Great looking Brat, super clean! I bet you also got for a good price, would've been a shame to get rid of it so soon, if it at all! Just a quick tip to the faded front bumper and rear caps, Plasticote makes a blacker bumper spray paint that works pretty darn well and would bring those pieces up to speed with how the rest of the exterior looks. You'd also be surprised how well a set of stainless steel trim rings finish off the stock steelies as well! P.S. I also recently noticed a few "Tan Color" NOS interior items on good ole fleebay!
  11. If your looking for a Weber Kit, You might be interested in the one I have for sale here... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?p=1139724#post1139724
  12. I mounted a set of these in my 82' Brat and they work great no matter what I'm drinking out of, unless it would be a 2 Liter bottle!
  13. DOH! LOL! My apologies for the assumption. I'm actually just off of Sheridan by the Loyola campus, so technically Rogers Park. So do you have any immediate plans for your Brat?
  14. Nice score bro! This is a very short reminder of when I drove my 82' Brat back from L.A. last year in April! We'll have to meet up when schedules and weather permit!
  15. Wicked White Brats!!! Any info on the different instrument cluster and dial controls?
  16. A LOT... of very cool rides, but ya' just can't beat THE MAD MAX INTERCEPTOR! aka... The Ford Falcon XB-GT
  17. Good looking BRAT! Did Earl do a modified version of his decals kit for you? Also what's the rim / tire size combo and do you have a lift on it as well? Best, BB
  18. Lotta work your putting in Brent, look forward to seeing the Brat in person when I drive through mid April.
  19. The Cannon Ball Run hatch, the white Hatch and that Gen 1 BRAT are all super sweet rides! Where are you guys coming up with all these pics! It's like Subaru Porn, Lol!
  20. My 82' BRAT is currently undergoing a EJ22 conversion courtesy of Shawn W @ RetroRoo and since I'll be loosing my space for the spare tire, I'm wondering what others have done or fabricated in terms of a spare tire carrier. A swing-away style would be cool, but would take some serious fabrication or modification of an existing carrier from let's say a Pathfinder or 4-Runner. I also thought of going with a Baja Style tire carrier. Anyone have any thoughts or pics of such a modification? Let's see Em'!!! I've attached a pic of the rim and tire combo I'm going with to compliment the 4" lift, along with some carriers as idea starters...
  21. Cool looking Brat. Like the set up. If you dont mind me asking, what's the lift and tire combo?!?!
  22. Hey Carfreak,

Does your 82' cyclops grill have any dents in the two horizontal chrome strips, if not and it's in really good condition, what do you want for it shipped to 60626. Let me know when you have a quick sec.

    Best,

    Eric

  23. Hi Miles, I noticed your from Wisconsin, I'm originally from the Milwaukee area as well, moved to Chicago 12 yrs for a job offer. I wonder if any of the Wisconsin members have either of my Brats that I owned back in the early 90's, a red 85 with tan interior, roll bar, push bar & custom tonneau cover or an Teal 82 with blue interior, roll bar, push bar & custom tonneau cover. I don't know if you remember seeing the black 82 Brat I brought back from LA last year. I've been working my way through in efforts to bring back to mint status. One thought I'm seriously considering is either a WRX or built up EJ22 motor swap married to a 5 speed. This level of mechanical skill is beyond my time and capabilities, but wonder if it's a project that either you or another member you know would be willing to take on and be able to complete within a month or two. Let me know when you have a sec & with us being so close I should find a way to meet up with you and some the other WI USMB'rs. Best, Eric
