New Orleans Brat!
I'm not 100% sure yet. I was also originally thinking some type of light green (not bright like irish green though). But the more I think about it, the more I'd like to redo the original blue. I really like it. I also have an '02 wrx that is the "other red" (I can't think of the name), and I really like that too. Somehow, I like keeping my cars as stock as possible. Regardless, when I do it, there will definitely be pictures posted!!

New Orleans Brat!
Thanks for the kind words and for keeping up with my thread I'm about to change out the doors for some less rusty ones. After that, I think it's time for a paint job. I'm really looking forward to doing that.

Any brats in Texas or Louisiana ?
I bought my brat in Utah from a Usmb board member. I did a lot of searching before I found one in decent shape. Mine is not lifted, and I don't intend to lift her. Gl on your search and keep us updated!

hitachi carb - issues after partial rebuild
ok, I did what both Ivan and Ferox suggested. However, when I took off the fuel inlet, there was no fuel filter/ screen, and thus I could not see if anything was caught in it. I noticed a few screws were slightly lose though, tightened them, and restarted and drove the car. Again, It ran fine until a few minutes after it reached operating temperature, but then started to bog and buck again. The only thing I can think of is that what is malfunctioning must be temperature related. I haven't a clue where to start looking beyond this. Any hints would be much appreciated.

window glass - 2nd gen in a first gen
Is the window glass for a brat different for 1st and 2nd gens? In other words, if I have glass from a 2nd fen, will it fit a 1st gen? Thanks!

hitachi carb - issues after partial rebuild
Hi all, Recently partially rebuilt and cleaned out the hitachi carb on my '86 brat. Replaced the main gaskets and accelerator pump, which was leaking all over the place. Started her up again, and went around the block a few times. Everything was fine. Later that day, started driving to a destination about 12 miles away. Around the time that she reached operating temperature, she started bogging a little bit (at around 60mph). Within about 15 more minutes of driving, she was bogging and bucking like a bronco at a rodeo (while driving at around 30mph). Any ideas what I might have done that caused this? I took out the emulsion tubes to clean, and suspect I might have put them in backwards. Would that cause these type of symptoms? Only other things I can think of that is that I possibly connected the hoses wrong when I hooked things back up. Thanks in advance!

a/c on a '79 brat
Will a/c from a second gen brat ('82) fit on a first gen ('79)? Are any adaptations required?
