  1. Thats a good idea... thanks.... Maybe I can just run it to the pillar and chek the wire from there to the light.... and reuse. Is the ground for the light just the roof under it(above)? I really didnt look... Thanks
  2. Hey, looking for a common solution. 87 gl wagon, dome light gets no power... Looking to see if this is common, and if so, whats the fix. I checked fuse 3 as the owners manual says... its good.. the grounds good... powers a no show... wires are plugged into the socket on the back(pulled it off the roof) any ideas, I dont want to rip up my headliner Thanks
  3. I love the striping on it.. very sleek, very 80's
  4. Cool, Ok thanks.... You can have your thread back now:-p
  5. Yeah, I paid like $7 or so each for mine... Not to rob this thread, but heres a question... I recently did my exaust manifold gaskets, and now I need to pull the exaust again to do the O2.... Do I NEED new gaskets?
  6. Hey, This probably isnt the best idea.... Not saying it cannot be done, but the issue is you only have 1 big fuel injector and the mpfi cars can have fueling issue with boost. Also, the spfi heads would flow very poorly.... I just think its gonna be a lot of work for very little more power... Otherwise, Your list needs to add a fuel mangment comp cuz I'm not sure if the sotck one can keep up... maybe a bigger caddy injector or something? An exaust system... intake piping... I think thats about it
  7. My XT6 doesnt have it due to me doing the tranny swap and being lazy. I agree that it is very neat, great for people just learing how to drive a stick. My 87 wagon NEEDS it. The thing has soo little power that if you let it roll back even slightly while going up a real steep hill, you either slip the hell out of the clutch or stall it. Its also fun to scare people with.
  8. Sooo... If your driving it on the street... and some guy pulls up next to you and... asks you if its turbo.... how hard do you hit him?
  9. Once I put my turbo hood on my 6 it does the same when its cold out... I never had any problem other then the heater kinda being sucky.... Airs only warm.
  10. Yawn..... Thats a stock Datsun 280Z 2+2 parked in front of my car... Why does angelfire suck so bad? Nevermind, I cannot make it work..
  11. You could just sell it and buy an XT-6:rolleyes: No more torque issues.
  12. A transfer case with a bad marriage. Sorry, I'm tired and sick and hopped up on cold medicine.... Probably shouldn't even talk.
  13. Ok, I'm so lost. Anyone know what a 2wd xt turbo 5 speed would have? Is there a difference between 2wd cars and 4wd cars?
  14. Well its gotta be.... Intake manifold gasket Head gasket or cracks between the valves... So the prize is a bad old subaru part? Bah! I've gots loads of those things.
  15. Hey, Isnt that pauls XT-6? And do tell about the dampers... thats the big bling there...
  16. I have a question.... Are the spyder turbo injectors and the normal turbo mpfi ones the same? Is the N/A distrubiter and the turbo distrubiter the same? Will the N/A spyder pitch stopper work with the 87.5 Turbo spyder(I think so)? Will the N/A spyder throttle cable work with the 87.5 Turbo spyder(again I dont see why not)? Thanks people...
  17. We need more info... like: Does the car have enough oil in it? Was the engine know good before? Did you rebuild the carb? Is the accelerator pump all dry and cracked? Is it blowing fuel out the carb? Hows the stream in the carb look? Do you have new ign stuffs? Why not hook up the carb totally, then check it?
  18. My 87 DR carbbed wagon does about the same... only 84 horse for me, but I dont really expect much.
  19. My "ghetto" filter kit came with a cork gasket... If it didnt I would have used RTV:brow:
  20. Your little wagon ROCKS!! I love it. Now I'm stuck if I wanna throw the spare on the roof or the back door.... Thats a great shot:cool:
  21. ummm... no air filter? did you even plug in the MAF?
  22. I would also be intrested in a XT styled hood, but I'm really a fan of the "xt-turbo" style scoop. My car doesnt run 14's (least not at a mile high) and I think it doesnt really need to stand out more then it already does. If you could make a replica of an 1987.5 XT turbo hood (aka, with dual mounting points), with a place to bolt on the stock turbo scoop, I would buy one at $300, no questions asked. I wouldn't need a scoop even as I'm currently running the 87.5 hood, I just love the way it looks.
  23. Mmmmm... powered by rocks... wheres rick on this one? His was pretty nasty lookin.
