  1. actually, now that i think about it....there was one more of those out there.....and i might have an extra.but you should go to the places on sparague first, they have old skool machines that should have an attachment for them. 509-991-8048,give me a buzz this week.i might have some time for ya........brian
  2. make baccaruda take a picture of his...he really has done a superb job of it......just pm him and i am sure he would set you up....
  3. try mayfair tire, off of sprague and altamont......... if you want i can cut them for you.........besides, the locals haven't even met around here.......what the hell is that about? don't be gettin all hasty, lets talk about your options.
  4. yep , you heard it here first,........me.....the die hard "if i can't fix it with bailin wire and chewin gum or duct tape " " i ain't gunna drive it".............ok,here is the scoop.92 legacy in most beautiful shape exterior and interior(ask baccaruda,he hates me)......right at 260,000 on the clock.read thje codes when i got it and came up with a water temp sensor....replaced.already runs better.auto trany seems to push a little when stopped at a light .slight shudder from right hand side on acceleration.but only sometimes........needs new exhaust and a tune up..........in the process ,of course,i wish to bring it up alittle ,i hear that outback struts are a good choice.what years?i also hear that there a lot of choices for n/a engines to be jacked up a little as well.....like how?thanks, brian
  5. so it was you.........
  6. he is talking about the one in spokane. and yes it is free pete..........we should go out there some time......

i have been driving my lifted brat for 9 months without one and i haul rump roast everywhere i go.it can get a little squirmy at times.but you learn how to compensate without it.i say get rid of it.just pay attention to your driving technique onroad and feel the difference in the offroad.like they said, you can always put it back on......i bet you don't though:brow:
  8. newbie to the 2.2........how do you clear the codes?i have a water sensor signal , 21 it is , and i would like to clear them so that i may figure out what else fi anything is wrong.thanks, brian
  9. i was running a little rich as well.still don''t know why, but when i rebuilt my carb it was a lot better .our laws are not as stringent up here , but are getting that way.if you need to check your egr valve take it all the way off, that way you can see the backside and be able to thouroghly clean it . i used carb cleaner.it seemed to work .and if you tackle your carb yourself just be patient with yourself and put everything in sight.you don't want to be stepping away from the project to grab things.it is easy to get lost ,if you have never done it before.try to do it all in one sitting.

i also have the rx springs on my ea-81 struts,.but they are coupled with coupe struts and afford a little less stress on the axles.these are kyb struts, not stock extended struts.

    can you figure out co-efficients?http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=7685&sort=1&cat=500&page=1
  13. i finally found a return spring for my main .......yeah.now i have to remember what was all closed off on the intake manifold , and how?anyone got a pic of there setup with a stock hitachi manifold?thanks, brian
  14. yeah, you gotta split it to do that..... 1600 pistons hydro block ground cam there are a few more that i cannot think of. and you might be surprised at the hatching in the cylinders. oh, and napa says they have a gasket kit, rebuild kit thing....or something
  15. it is all about tuning on these carbs.....i know people that can't pass with a stock setup much less anything else.they just need to learn how to tune there stuff properly.it is possible to tune and run a weber on a daily driver with success.......http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=29778 check out this thread for more info......
  16. ok, first :you need to come to terms with how easy these cars are to work on.second:you need to come to terms with how easy your car is to work on. and last but not least:if you forget one of the rules , refer to first rule.
  17. oh sh$t !!!!he knows where i live. oy yeah, and i teleported it into your car on accident.i was trying to send your pillow pat. if your not pat , you really don't know how funny that is...... 4
  18. ah,envy ......the downfall of man.i hate you.
  19. i hate wal-mart as well. i have some liberators.they seem to do well all around.i am mostly on dirt roads, consruction sites, and highway.mud here and there , but i would not depend on them if i got in a sticky situation.they don't clean out very well in clay, gravel and deeper mud .this is not a tire to go slow with through a mudpit.but at the proper speed you can accomplish it .they are wearing well and seem to have alot of life left in them .i mean they only have about three thousand miles on them, but i have definitely used them.they do fairly well in water and on slick streets as well
  20. my friend did some welding on the brat and the areas that are fairly rusty need to be completely cut out to fresh steel.somebody said that i guess but, if you start out mild , as in any situation, you should be alright.he had some difficulty in the burning holes dept.he is a competant welder.i just figured it was due to thin steel.but it can be done.
  21. pm baccaruda,at some point and time i am pretty sure, yeah i said pretty sure he has looked into it.....
  22. check out the marketplace........look for me.........got 5
  23. why not?i hate being told that i can't do something......man that pisses me off.
  24. check out the goodyear m+s.....i have some 185/80/13's that kick rump roast.they are an all winter radial.probably ten thousand miles on them .you could go with a 14, but even with a 4 inch lift those tires did not look bad when i drove them.they are pretty much the most aggressive 13 inch tire there is.at least for cars....i tried looking it up online, but i could not find it. they were purchased at les schwab.....if you know what that is.
