  3. it might, except it was all clear instead of blue.there was a large gash in the top of the rubberized material that was holding the taillamp on.about 4.5 inches across the top was letting water in like a funnel. so, with that side sealed up, and a new passenger side lens, all gooped up ready to dry out...i can see what is next.cheers, b
  4. it pretty much describes me too a T doesn't it if i wasna looking for prospective employment, i would put it up there Tex.i had andrew take it off so's i could look like anice guy its ashame , damn ashame.cuse it is an AWESOME pic of me. :lol:cheers, b oh yeah, the car.... so apparently there has been a water leak for a very long time.into the rear compartment.after finding the plug that would relieve pressure, it ran out of the drivers side most rear compartment below the jack for 56 seconds:eek:it was ALOT of water.she musta lost ten pounds at least.....at least it will help with tire rub:grin: i started trimming properly in the rear, insrtead of the ghetto pound i had goin on since i installed the tires.i will post pics of the carnage when i do the other side today or this weekend. cheers, b

mine is about that big.i used 07 forester struts.i lowered the engine crossmember with the stock outback blocks, but probably did nto need to. i kept the forester struttop in the rear.you could do either really.i just had a hobbit handfile the holes for me.it was kinda expensive in beer, but whatever. the rear is kinda lacking for me , but i am pretty sure some saggy rump roast spacers would take care of it... cheers, b
  14. welp, i new i had more to do to the rear fenders to get them where i want them.so, i jumped some railroad tracks today to find THE spot that was rubbing. i found it:grin:.. i say jumped, it was more like dropping in a big pothole, hitting the track, bouncing off of it and coming down hard, sideways-ish. it is obviously something you slow down for usually.. but other than the tire chunking, yes i chunked it.straight cosmetic .doonk, doonk, doonk, doonk, all the way home:lol: i was glad to find out it was rubber. i think i may actually put swaybars back on.then make disconnects.i gotta measure the swaybars i pulled off.and make a mounting surface on the links. but , all in all i would say succeessful. the struts have settled out about now.so i think i can actually get this thing into shape to go fast, AND deep. cheers, b
  15. so, every damn thing that could be bent on the rear end was.therefore no adjustment was gonna take care of it. so i rednecked some stuff had to cut some stuff. ..that super long god damn bolt sucks...... bent ************........... take all of it out.replace with MOAR.... how she was last night after the hellday that is rust.......************ rust. complete adjustability......priceless... the bed camber/toe issues, are obviously taken care of.bent something or other.whatever the hell it really was is beyond me.so i fixed the problem. a cheers, b mad thanks to Mugs, and Bacc for the help and photos....

basic math.then pound the pavement like everyone else. can you do ANYTHING yourself? jeff extended his with tubing, Jarod used extensions as well if i remember correctly...... all of this info is here.or not . which means you have to figure it out. do you know what ride height you want?have you figured out max compression?etc... do the math, like everyone else.
  17. bennie, i simply do not have the means to weld the shafts.otherwise i would go that route. the diff lock would be sweet, but i have never had it before , so i don't know what i am missing:lol: if i WAS gonna weld some pinions i would just go for the $.$$'s.. anyways,it was more of a rhetorical question by the time i had even gotten done typing it.i have wanted better final drive ratio for an offroad application for a while...so 4.11's it is.... unless , some 4.44's just dropped in my lap out of thin air....then i would SERIOUSLY consider it. thanks for the pics.just out of curiousity do you have the specs of the welding equipment and process they went through to do the pinions? cheers, b
  18. slow down speed racer, there is an arguement to whether or not this is a LIFT.....i could care less. he has some good things to say as well. cheers, b
  19. i brazed new outlet/inlet pieces onto a a stock ea81 radiator......it was not super fancy, but did not leak. cheers, b

  21. wow, i was pissed at that last night......... just the trailing arm wil help a bunch.and i have been wheeling for years man.not just in subaru's.i know the ins and outs.this isn't my first rodeo. i have yet to cut the pipe for the fronts, already have the back fingered out. its all about time... cheers, b
  22. release the spring on your hill holder and see if it helps.spray it down with some brake clean and actuate it back and forth to get it lose.i have disabled several of these on the older rigs and never gone back.....cheers, b
  23. in all of the ones i have come across, i have not noticed a difference.some had a stiffener on top, and some did not.(kinda like a welded on piece of rod....) whatcha up to? i once had a brat with a tow hitch on the back that was bolted through el mustacho....don't know how much that helped:lol:..cheers, b
  24. thats just my staple :)i enjoy, have helped brew, and continually excercise my right as a rogue citizen to taste all beers equally . and enjoy them to their fullest extent.except if they suck :)cheers, b
