  1. Ed, send her some flowers and apologize to her for making her feel bad. After all, she probably rides the short bus to work every day and she's doing the best she can.
  2. I have now called his house and left a messagewith my home phone number. I expect an answer; either here, or my home # or both.
  3. I'll be moose hunting for the next 5 days or so, but I would expect to see some king of response from John by then. If not, that says volumes.
  4. When I spoke with John at the show, he told me his cell phone # was given to another party. I see he posted recently on the 13th, so he is still active on the board. I believe I have a vialble phone # for him and will try calling him after I get back from moose hunting next week. Right now I have the need to kill something.
  5. I'm at the point where if I can't have my bumpers, I want my money back. Let's look at this from a different angle - let's say I got the bumpers from you, John, on December 11th of last year and you were waiting on the money. I could come up with every conceivable excuse as to why you didn't have the money yet, but that wouldn't do anything in the way of settling what would be owed you. How would you feel? I at least would expect some communication, and maybe a firm delivery or reimbursement date.
  6. Titanium bits - slow rpm is the key with lots of cutting lube to keep the bit from burning up.
  7. bump for response from Mudrat.
  8. John, since I PM'd you on the tenth and haven't heard back, and since you told me your cell # has changed, I don't know how else to contact you. I'm interested in getting my bumpers and was wondering what the status is. In July, they were waiting to be powdercoated. If that is still the hold up, send them raw. I'll get them powdercoated here and back charge you the cost. Please stay in touch.
  9. Actually, it's #29, and I think PK's design in Black on a white shirt, or white on a black shirt would be a big seller/ fund raiser for the board (hint, hint).
  10. PM Snowman. Right now he's swamped with work and trying to fit all of his last minute playtime in before he heads back to school, but he should be a regular again in a couple of weeks. If you really need to get in touch with him (emergency-type of contact) PM me with your telephone number and I'll call him up.
  11. (I'll takea different approach). Zap, those are too cool. Maybe even worth an extra crab leg next time. Care to divulge where you got them?
  12. Congrats, man. It's good to hear when things go well as all too often they turn to schnitt.
  13. You can put a myriad of different seats in. You might have to modify the brackets under the seat to do so. I put Legacy seats in my Brat. Snowman put Impreza seats in his 88 gl. There's a template in the USRM.
  14. I saw 3 silver XT6s today (now that I have one). But mine is the nicest of the bunch.
  15. I can think of a good road trip to test it out.
  16. I have about two weeks before I have to head back to school. They would be nice to have to put on before things get hectic again.
  17. Speaking of bumpers, how are mine coming? Back in July (at the show) you said you were just waiting on the powdercoater. What's the current status?
  18. You'll hear a click from the axle if it's going bad.
  19. At least you realized it before you had things all torn down... or did you?
  20. No, the clutch and pressure plate need to match the tranny, but the flywheel can be turned down to ea82 specs.
  21. When I look inside of the rear wheel wells of my Brat I don't see any arches (inner wheel well coverings). Am I missing something?
  22. Even with over 200K on the clock, my wife gets 28 mpg in the Legacy wagon.
  23. I don't want to seem like Daddy Warbucks, but I'd put in a new clutch set up while you're at it instead of something used. There's no sense in having to take it all back apart a few thousand miles from now. As to flywheel, I can't give you a definitive answer, but you could have the old one turned down also.
