  1. Solution: Taco Bell
  2. I'll admit that I didn't read every post in this thread (time constraints), and I'd like to know if you have a kit (3") for an 89 XT6 that would require minimal modifications. Current cost would be appreciated (shipping to AK, slow boat - not in a big hurry) also.
  3. You could do massive offroading of every nature (mud bogging, hill climbs, and over 150 miles of unmaintained trails) at Eureka along the way.
  4. People do it all of the time. Just be sure you have all of your ducks in a row first. It can be rather unforgiving if you're unprepared. Also, you may want to become a member of SKA (Subaru Klub of Alaska) in case you break down. We have people around the state who will lend a hand if they know you're stuck of down.
  5. Now, THAT'S a low-rider.
  6. 92 Legacy - paid $3800 3 years ago 89 xt6 - paid $2500 4 months ago 83 Brat - paid $2700 2 years ago All run great, limited repairs, average less than $500 a year, with depreciation, that comes out way less than the average car payment. I buy used; it's cheaper in the long run. If I spend 3 grand on a vehicle and it lasts 3 years, that's a grand a year, about 3 car payments on a new ride.
  7. Correction: the place I suggested is called the Mooses Tooth. It's on old Seward by the Sunrise Restaurant.
  8. No, it's a pizza joint first. It just sells a lot of beer.
  9. I thought maybe you finally got your bumper.
  10. I had several people at the local dealership ask about how to get a USMB "Our world IS flat" shirt. I may have to buy a few extras just to grease some wheels. And, not only is John a great silkscreen printer, he (claims to be) is an expert fisherman, too. He's also quite generous.
  11. A good price is free, but $100 is pretty fair, too.
  12. No,I don't. What time do you want to meet at the Beartooth? (You are talking about Beartooth pizza and brewpub on the Old Seward Highway, not the Beartooth theater, right?)
  13. While you're at it, you might as well put in a 5spd d/r.
  14. Sorry to hear you didn't get your Mudrat stuff yet.
  15. Sorry to hear you didn't get your Mudrat stuff yet.
  16. 230 miles is probably not enough to cause a serious problem.
  17. Welcome to the board. Sounds like a cv joint problem. If you're not mechanically inclined, or you need an exact diagnosis, see Richie at SIRS ir Portland - excellent, honest guy and a great mechanic, fair deals and excellent service. He won't try to rip you off like some other places (ball joints?).
  18. Welcome to the board. Sounds like rust issues all right. You might want to look for a different tank.
  19. Ed, good luck with the refurbish. If you can't find the parts you need at the local PAP, let me know. I have (most of) and extra Brat engine I can scab for you.
  20. PM Bratsrus1 for the scoop.
  21. Austin, it looks like a pretty clean job. Nice work.
  22. Come in out of the rain. Torxxx has been around for some time and is a pretty resourceful guy. Very glad to have him handy here.
  23. I hope you get your parts in time. I see from one of his posts that Mudrat is planning to be in AZ on the first to buy a SVX, swap the tranny and drive it back home. I'd sure like to get my bumpers before then, too.
