please answer fast - what carb it this?
I'd pass on it. If you need a new carb, send out some feelers here. You'll find one here cheaper than on ebay, and the people here are more trustworthy.

need opinions, logical thinking here... my trip to MSP
You seem to make a case for an extra trip, but why incur the extra expense and the lost time (unless you just enjoy riding long distances and waiting in lines at airports). I say trailer it and cast aside your doubts in your car. It's a good car and it'll do fine. Just take it easy, don't be in a big hurry. Enjoy one trip instead of hating two.

SVX LSi
northguy replied to SaV72's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXTry visiting the svxworld.net site and looking in the FAQ section or using their search mode. Transmissions are a frequent problem, it seems, with that model.

Brat Jump Seats
The bolts in mine are some special head design, probably meant to pass some D.O.T. restrictions. I am not sure of the size and thread coarseness.

Brat Jump Seats
The seats bolt onto a frame. The frame is generally welded into the bed.

Ugh, not again...
The city is fine, it's just some of the people who are lowlifes. I leave the keys in my Brat at my house. I also have a full compliment of firearms readily available.

Price quotes
Start with "What do you need for them?", and the response is then, "What are you willing to pay?"With that stage of the discussion over, call a junk yard and get a quote there. You can even go on line and find prices and availability of said parts.

reverse lights after 5spd d/r swap
I figured it out in about 15 minutes. I cut the wires on the old plug to the tranny and used a continuity tester to find the two you need to form the circuit. You do this by leaving the key turned on and putting the car in reverse (no motor running, please). Once you know which two are the circuit, it's jst a matter of plugging them into the new plug on the tranny until you get reverse lights to light up. If you use a systematic approach, you'll find which two are the circuit. After that, you can splice in the old receiver plug on the new tranny. It's not all that difficult.

Help! Removing Icthus (Fish Symbol) from my car?
northguy replied to NorthWolf's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXNow that you have it off, braze a treble hook to its mouth and tie on a piece of stout monofilament that can run into the trunk. It'll look cool when remounted.

Questions to the Brat from 1983
Norbert, you can put Legacy seats (not sure about Impreza seats) in with very little modifications. There is a template on the site. Do a search for it. It's in the repair manual section, I believe.
