  1. The r2.8. just gonna leave this here.. https://cumminsengines.com/repower.aspx
  2. When you say"white steel wheels"are toy referring to the stock 13 inch ones?
  3. What ever happened with this? Did you get the issue figured out?
  4. For clarification, I will be lifting the rear 2 more inches, then suspension and 2 inch lift in the front. That's a total 4 inch lift. I'll do this before the swap because I know I'll be installing blocks to lower the diff and engine as i've seen around here. Then I'll have to drill out the hubs to accept 6 lug wheels. Nothing too crazy for size though.
  5. I've lifted the rear with suspension, and I plan on lifting the front before I swap in the 4wd from the DL. I bought the DL as a parts car for the 4wd system and various other things like spare engine. It just so happens that it runs well enough that I wasn't stranded while the Loyale was out.
  6. Just stockies with a little bit of tint on em. Did the tails too, I'll upload a pic when it's not dark out.
  7. So I've had a 91 2wd3at Loyale for about 2 years now, started with around 113k miles, and in pretty decent shape aside form the typical loyale issues (oil leaks, vacuum leaks etc). Right around 3 months ago i accquired an 88 DL 4wd D/R 5spd for the modest price of $250, and it had 296k on it, and ran ROUGHLY! Leaks everywhere including the exhaust, and it was used as a handyman work truck.. A few months ago my Loyale crapped out on me after getting a bath, and I had to drive the DL, which was a blessing that it ran at all. That little beater has gotten me here there and everywhere with very little issue at all. Well this weekend was the first opportunity I've had in a long time to do car work, and lo and behold, I got the Loyale up and running, and nicely! There are still a few leaks to address, but I redid the timing belts, front seal, oil pump seal, cam seals distributor cap and seal, and now she's all better! It ended up that i shorted out the dist cap, and the inside was melted on #1 point. All that I have left to seal are the oil pan, and various small seals like the throttle body. Anyways, here they are side by side, happy as clams.
  8. I took my dist back out and moved it one tooth over so that the rotor was pointing exactly at the brake booster. boom, fixed! Try this.
  9. Istarted experiencing this very problem (hence the reason I am on here today) after replacing my distributor cap. I also took the distributor out, and reinstalled after cleaning. I figured it might just be off by a tooth. The rotor is pointing at the number 1 position when reinstalled, but maybe someone could post up a picture of the correct position for the distributor? Nate
  10. http://www.weldcraftwheels.com/ I'm not sure if they are cost worthy, but it's a thought
  11. You could always look at getting your current rims extended.. Get a lip welded on. there are lots of places that will modify your existing wheels for you.
  12. Holy smokes! I'm jealous, that thing is in pristine condition, albeit a few details.
  13. how did that soft top work out? I've been lusting after your rig, and shaking my head in envious sadness...
  14. So I'll need a timing light for that or...? I'm used to Hondas so I'm very new to the ways of the h4
  15. Also, the distributor needs to be readjusted because The last owner just advanced it all the way to cope with the timing belt issue (skipped tooth I guess). We're should I set the dist to? Pics?
  16. Today I completed the timing belt replacement on my loyale. First time I've done this and lemme tell ya, Miles Fox's YouTube video was a huge help! Initially I did it to replace the timing gaskets on the cams, as they were leaking like a sieve, but wanted to do it right with a full timing belt service. The car is running night and day better than before... It's still leaking in other areas to address but that will come in time. Anyone have good info on replacing the rear seal? Thanks for all the support y'all!
  17. Very cool! I'm hoping to head toward Asheville this fall. If that happens, I'll hit you up!
  18. Down the road I plan to EJ22 my loyale and would love to find another person to help/ cheer me on. Even if helping is not your cup of tea, I'd love to meet some folks on this board and check out your ride in person.
  19. Oh dang dude. That's one of the most radified impreza's I've seen!
