  1. Also do I need anything from that gold box attached next to the Smj
  2. Okay so I'm reading numbchux write up thought I understood it but am now utterly confused on exactly what wires need to be pulled out, do I need anything coming from the steering wheel? Or anything from that beige thing connected to the fuse box. It's my first ej swap and am just a little frazzled
  3. The only reason I was going to swap it is to get rid of the 86 wagon in front of my house and it just seemed easier to swap everything instead of just the tranny, I'm planning on putting a ej22 into it(another car that is sitting in front of my house) but don't have enough money for the flywheel drill and adapter plate just yet
  4. The pitch bar is the little bar holding the tranny onto the frame correct? Also what wiring will I have to change, I know on the tranny there's a couple wires that can be tricky but have no idea which ones
  5. What do I need to change to put an ea82 engine and tranny into my ea81 brat, I suck super hard at the search function and can't seem to find a write up on this particular swap
  6. Also I'm only wanting to get this car running so that I know the engine is good so I can then rip it out and cram it into my brat, is there a way to bypass the starter just to get the engine running?
  7. Just bought a legacy that doesn't run, the guy I bought it from said the timing belt broke but just confirmed that it is still in tact. When I turn the key all I hear is a click
  8. Okay so I don't know whether it's just me not knowing how to search very well or if there just isn't a thread on it but what do I need to swap in an ea82 tranny to a ea81 subaru brat.
  9. You convinced me to get a brat sir
  10. im excited to see what happens with that push button. sounds interestingly awesome
  11. Hahaha I just did that in my dads 4runner, didn't bend anything but definitely scared the spoob out of everyone in the truck
  12. got damn that brat looks mean
  13. yes i'm sending him a money order tomorrow for it
  14. got ahold of him thank you 2.7 for the info. i totally should of looked at his profile before asking
  15. it was totally the links and then it was me not reconnecting the battery
  16. Went and did some much needed bashing today, but alas i think i need to jack her up 2-4 more inches for these tires to not be an issue, i may just go buy some 27's just so i can drive her around at least. Does anyone know how to get ahold of the beast i drive for his blueprints? i've tried messaging him but no luck so far.
  17. okay now chop your truck and drop that brat body onto it
  18. So i was changing out my intake manifold gaskets on my 84 gl wagon because they literally exploded while i was driving, and while i was changing them my ratchet touched one of the connecting wires to my alternator and there were some sparks, anyway long story short i put everything back together and now my car won't turn over. none of the dash lights come on either. It's acting like i took the battery out of it completely. I checked the voltage on it and it's fully charged. Very confused
  19. Those gold covers a pretty rad man. nothing like throwing some bling on a brat
  20. that's me and my dad's rebuild project it's a 66 ford country sedan station wagon (total oxymoron i know) it has a rebuilt hi pro 390 with 3 inch full dual range exhaust. need to get the gas tank refurbished and run a fuel line then she's ready for action
  21. i drove it around the block got it up to about 40 and it handled amazing surprisingly
