The no rust option?

There are no "Clutch Tests". There is just one to see if the clutch is going, and thats when a car can move under it's own power. In essence everytime you step on the gas and your rpms go up and the car does not go faster that is a failed clutch test. That screaming noise you hear is what is left of your clutch destroying your flywheel. Thats is metal against metal noise.

You fried your transmission. With fluid that low i am surprised you have any of the clutches functioing at all.

It is an alarm. Someplace on the car, usually the left kick panel shold be a switch for valet mode. This isnt the kind to push for valet, i have one of those in the justy.

Year? Mileage? Manual? If it is manual it is a fried clutch, if not we need to dig into it more.

Dealer or not, they all have "boat payments" Find another shop as they are awfully high. Exhaust leak should be fixed because the way subarus are set up, the HVAC will suck it into the car. Most likey it is the flex joint or a gasket. Mine was the flex jont and I had it welded.

Check out this engine completely. Remove timing covers, make sure all the pistons are there (no joke). That is juts too good a price. DO a leakdown test if you can.

I think ( I might be wrong ) DOHC use the MAF sensor for this duty. Turbos have them, not too sure about SOHC engines, I think it depends upon the year. Not all cars have IAT sensors. You THINK you saw it, I think you may have not.

Well i did not want to suggest using a carbon based fuel source for anything drastic other then heating the wires. Goodness knows how those things can easily get out of control

the yellow harness and plugs are the air bag wires. If it is in your way unplug it. if in doubt unplug it. The only nthing I would do because I am paranoid is cover the connector with electrical tape.

For giggles... have an extra ECU around?
