  1. Well someone has to be the first. Cadillac is coming out with LED headlights, so its not unheard of. But for 15.00 I would guess not much engineering went into them aside from "how many LEDs can we fit here"...."I dont know, so hold my beer" nipper
  2. SO no one knows how to use the search? http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=84455&page=2&highlight=water+tail+lights nipper
  3. JUst dont use a crank handle unless you have full medical and like your local ER. Those engines with cranks were low power and low compression, and the still managed break quite a lot of arms. nipper
  4. If the drive shaft is disconnected, you cah tow the car with the front wheels off the ground, and the rears on the ground. No need for the fuse, especially since it doesnt work with the car off. Disconneting the driveshaft at the rear diff is just a few bolts. nipper
  5. Do a search here, its common. Usually the seals on the tail lights are tired and need to be repaired ( I dont know how off hand). nipper
  6. I went through this with Blu when he threw a rod on a road trip at 181,000 miles. I decided to fix Blu due to cost. A new car would need higher insurance, and then there are the monthly payments. Also I would have to pay sales tax, and you never recoup that. If the body is solid, and everything works (like on blu except for one seat heater), I would suggest fix. Also god forbid you loose your job and get behind on things, they can take your nice new car, where if you charge the repair, they cant take your wheels. nipper
  7. Super hyper dangerous junk. They arent legal. They also wash out badly in the rain. If you think you have weak headlights now, just put these babys in. nipper
  8. the 99 and 2000 have some sort of internal issues. Before then they last the life of the car as long as you do regular fluid changes. This comes up from time to time, it may come up on a search. The AWD units can be serviced sepretly from the tranny itself. Blu has 226,000 miles on the original tranny. nipper
  9. They are fairly sizeable connectiors, about the same as any of the fog lamp/cruise/defroster switches in the dash. nipper
  10. Well its obvious, the console has two more cylinders then your car, thats why it wont fit nipper
  11. Couple of things to check for (you did wiggle the wheels didnt you?) Cv joints Universal joints on the driveshafts Transmission mount. nipper
  12. Of course, its just easier to run a new engine ground then to find a bad one. nipper
  13. Essentially its all off the same circuit, depending upon where you want to start looking. Check the battery cables, the engine grounds, and get the charging system load tested. I am guessing that it may be a bad ground someplace. nipper
  14. Check the drive belts, make sure nothing is loose there. It can be engine pping, a cv joint, aloose brake pad, or a wheel bearing. nipper
  15. You just ruined several od my possible answers. Can it be engine ping? Does it change when you go left or right, or in reverse? Does it change with the clutcj depressed? nipper
  16. Details on the car please. Can be a heat shield, if you have those kind of things, or a backing plate for a disc. nipper
  17. This will make things easier. Another possability is running the larger of the two direclty off the front of the main pully. Are you cooling this engine directly off the surrounding water, or through an heat exchanger (i dont know alot about boats). nipper
  18. Are you still using the AC and PS pump? Everything can handle it, but you may need some way to kick up the idle speed. The worst thing that will happen at idle (which is where you will be testing it to start) is some way to kick up the idle speed. The ECU may pick it up on its own, I dont know. YOu will need to get as much contact as possible on the drive pulley and the slave pully as possible. Will you be running these at the same time? nipper
  19. YAY another virgin http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=6 yes we are joking... nipper
