you need the switches, any relays involved, the motor that actually works the throttle, the computer, depending upon year the vacumue pump, and depending upon year the speed sensor. nipper

Actually that started in the 80's and all car makers do that now. Its cheaper to make one wiring harness for all cars then individual harnesses for equipment levels. you may need some sub harnesses but all the major stuff is there. nipper

#1 reason ac does not work, low or no rerigerant. There is a pressure switch that will not allow the ac to come on unless the proper pressure is there. Welcome to the faimily nipper

Can anyone with a 1998 leagcay or ouback with a manual pup thier hood and see if they have this part too? The haynes book says nothing about it. i go to subaruparts.com and its listed on the 1998 clutch system. i have never seen it come up here. nipper

a pigtail is basically any connector with about 6-12" of wire on it It can be for a switch, a lightbulb, a relay, motor or a sensor. nipper

Last time i had it done i paid 650.00 Also check the car to nmake sure all the tires match, and do a tranny flush. nipper

this is an easy one, search around a bit or someone will chime in. The remote entry or alarm has to be reset. nipper

leak additives BAD! first off once the rubber oring go bad they go bad. No way of using an additive to swell them up. The additive can clog up the internal parts nicely of an AC system (receiver/drier and the expnasion valve). I have yet to see one that workd for more then a season. nipper

Its inside the car, in the handle. its a simple cam and the cam may have overtravled and rotated (common when in need of adjustment). The second applictaion reset it. You do know your ebrake should only go up 5 notches, more then that its out of adjustment. nipper

there is no such thing as fool proof, if there was there would be no need for americas funniets home videos. Original question. Refreigernat does not go old. Rubber o rings do. 90% of the time a leaky o ring is the cause. Also new refridgerant is not as good as freon, so it takes longer to cool a car down, and feels really poor at idle. nipper

Its been told that when riding a motorcycle, if one carried a few balls from the internals of a cv joint, that an offending motorist would get the hint to respect motorcycles and thier space really quickly when they need a new headlight or radiator. There is a liftime warrenty on seatbelts, though i dont know if that is the mecanisim or the web itself. On the stuck belt the little counterwight is jamed. On the other belt it sounds like the return spring is broken. You can get units form a junkward and have your mechainc out them in for maybe 1/2 the cost or less. nipper
