please help with 86 RX turbo vacuumn
the top sensor in pic goes to a T about 2 inches off of it. one line goes toward cab to the small vac canister behind strut tower, and the other line off of the T goes to the intake. after the throttle body.. theres a spot on intake to put vac line thats the rear passenger side intake runner about half way between injector and throttle body. the bottom sensor connects to to a T on the intake side of the turbo on the rubber boot, like i was saying with the charcoal canister hose.. mine has the 'T' metal piece in the intake boot, its pointing toward front of car when installed. the big hose on the charcoal canister thats closest to the cab of car goes to the T of that sensor if anyone with more experience in EA82T vacuum could help confirm my logic that would be greatly appreciated

1984 Gl Wagon
you think you mounted them wrong? or making sure you dont? you can interchange heads, i havent seen it done, but you can tell by EGR hook up spots.. and you would have to turn cam cases around i believe...? not 100% on that but hope it gives you a good idea

not always haha im at 235,000 miles and no cracks!! exhaust ports are perfect. just depends on how they were maintained

93 loyale code---weird
the check plugs for the ECU are two green connectors that don't have locks, so they dont lock when plugged together.. should be right underneath ECU and not sure on the EGR, maybe someone with carbed or SPFI knowledge can chime in to help you

Ticking coming from from axles?
the inside diameter of the wheel bearing is slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the axle shaft where the bearing is pressed onto

EA82T dies on hard and extended right turns
yeah. if the pumps good it shouldnt really change anything having surge tank on stock engine setup. but if its the pump being starved in tank while turning right, then a pump keeping a small tank filled at front (surge tank) would keep the engine from being starved of fuel

Ticking coming from from axles?
i had this happen with new axle and new bearings.. the axle was too big to fit bearings and actually made them bind up to the point of not turning when i tried to press the axle and bearings together.. i had to have car fixed by next day so had no choice but to hone out bearings so i could get to work. ive put over 8k miles on my 'sketchy fix' bearings and havent had and issues yet haha

please help with 86 RX turbo vacuumn
the bigger vac line thats farthest from front of car on vap cannister? mine goes to a T into the rubber intake boot on turbo.. once im out of school today i'll see where the other vac line from that T goes. im pretty sure it goes to one of those sensors/switches that you posted in pics

EA82T - Boost but no power gain
I thought that my problem was from my coil or connections going out at first because it seemed like I wasn't getting timing advance. then my crank angle sensor went completely toast today, and now that I changed that its been running great.. if it was that causing all my problems the whole time then that crank sensor can cause some funky problems, such as my gas gauge post LOL
-
EA82T dies when gas gauge moves :/
So... I have no idea why it would die every time I got gas, but my problem was from my crank angle sensor failing

I need to find my books... haha then I can probably help you

please help with 86 RX turbo vacuumn
Now I'm kinda lost, I have my 87.5 GL with EA82T and an 87.1 RX with EA82T and they both have those same resistors or switches that Angerthis posted in pics.. aren't the pre 87.5 and post 87.5 turbo vaccum lines set up differently?? like older one doesn't use boost selenoid? when I got my RX the wastegate vac line went from wastegate straight to turbo outlet side. most the vac lines on my RX were all switched around and messed up so I thought i'd just copy my GL vacuum.. Could someone help with these vacuum switches..? Haha now im lost with my RX vacuum lines too

EA82T dies on hard and extended right turns
I meant when you first turn key on and the pump pressurizes the lines. I noticed mine started getting louder then, and then it started running bad, but I never had a way to check fuel pressure. I have open downpipe too (: love the sound of these EA82Ts!! And never heard of that surge tank setup, I'm gonna look into that

EA82T dies on hard and extended right turns
Is pump stock? I could hear my pump humming louder when it started going out, and it made it run bad and sputter while under boost You think you could do shipping on a DP once you know total cost for materials and all? What diameter of pipe are you using for it

87 gl-10 not charging
my car's had pretty bad wiring luck around there. Mine did it before because the little two prong connector going into that alt. had a bad connection, and its done that because the black fuses base burnt up underneath the box
-
87 gl-10 not charging
Is that balck fusible link in fuse box thats next to battery good? The one closest to strut tower. Or is it making a good connection on bottom of fuse box and off of alternater?

EA82T dies on hard and extended right turns
Yeah, mine doesn't have that filter on pump so I'm not too sure :/ is your fuel pump and front main fuel filter workin good? And how much that downpipe costing you??
-
EA82T dies on hard and extended right turns
can you take a measure of fuel pressure while turning? haha if possible and its only on right turns?? maybe the fuel pump isnt getting fuel to it while turning that way

87 gl-10 Rough Idle
+1^^ first I would think is that drivers side injectors are plugged, wiring bad, or just going out How much boost you pushin?? Injectors aftermarket? They might not be liking the higher than stock boost and are getting worn out from it

Ea82 engine differences, carb vs mpfi
Also the turbo dual ported heads have different Cams for a different valve overlap duration..

please help with 86 RX turbo vacuumn
Yeah, the wastegate actuator vac hose goes from the wastegate to the outlet side of turbo, on the pre-87.5 I believe its just a hose about 2-3 inches long. On mine, which is an 87.5 EA82T those hoses go to a boost selenoid on passenger side strut tower first instead of just going from wastegate to turbo outlet. And I have a boost gauge set up off the intake manifold from where an old sensor was, or you can just T in at any vac line off manifold. Anywhere on the manifold after throttle body will be a good place to show boost pressure.

Have you tried looking at a Hayne's or a Chilton's book for vac diagrams? Anything specific, or just everything vacuum related? Haha

Front lip for '90 Loyale?
no, not being dumb haha ive been lookin for another good front lip too, i luckily have one good one on my RX, but i think theyre just getting rare to find

EA82T - Boost but no power gain
No, sorry. Im still doing the vacuum om my 87.1 RX the hard way as of about 10 min ago i have 2'' exhaust from the bottom of cat and goes to a turn down just past the back tire, seems to run smoother now, just a little less bottom end power i think. and can really hear tha little turbo spool up hella quick now it seemed to still run pretty good without any exhaust on after the cat, and the wastegate was still workin normally. with a 3'' tip on the cat I kept havin people in Chevys and big Deisels revving up at stop lights thinking i was wanting to race... lol and they thought they could beat me
