  1. well good to know I would have never thought going that direction would cost something like that see is good to post something you learned on your own here cuz then you'll just learned something else
  2. I know for sure front wheel drive and all wheel drive legacy front struts are identically the same I just swap them in my brothers car
  3. what do you mean by vibration in park because I just used the front wheel drive automatic transmission axles in my brothers 4 wheel drive 5 speed car they're the same amount of splines and they fit in just as smooth as butter so I can't see how there could be a vibration when the car would be in park the axles are not even spending
  4. It's working on my brothers car yesterday changing a CV axle and two front struts and discovered that an automatic front wheel drive axle will interchange with a four wheel drive 5 speed car as well as the front struts thay are all the same Just thought I'd throw that out there so if you're ever working on those parts you can get the used parts of the more common car
  5. I like it a little redneck ingenuity I love it I will build one myself thank you
  6. I will post better pictures that way you can get a better visual of what they are tomorrow
  7. Just curious there on the fuse box in the top picture That blue plug label diagnostic What is that for Because you pop the cover off you'll see in the second picture Its just a circuit board rather than any wiring plug And I dunno the bottom picture is of my diagnostic plugs Does anyone know what that would be for If I'm not making sense please let me know and I will try and reword it better if I can
  8. Oh it's getting a 2 inch lift and a EJ 2.2 liter hear this spring Can't wait cuz its going to be a wheeling machine You already know what I can do you seen it at WCSS I could never sell the car I'm too attached to it but that also doesn't mean I won't wheel it either I also attached that photo you notice your rig is sitting right behind me
  9. Just a few more pics of the car
  10. I know he said that I was just implying 24 inch tires Have impressed me I've seen some of the videos that are wheeled with 27 And I made it through pretty much just the same thing with my 24 inch BFGs i know some of the spots ground clearance will a problem But the little RX kicks rump roast off road
  11. While the car was a complete success. and sold it. I am happy as a clam cuz it sold for what I was asking for it. I had a good amount of time invested in it. starting to get attached to it because it was a really nice car. the things that I did to it were, rear disc brake conversion, dual range four wheel drive conversion, Not to mention the car was a front wheel drive car to begin with and a small little add-ons like a roof rack but I paint it black instead of Chrome painted the chrome luggage rack black to match and painted the saw blade style wheels black. And one of the coolest touches that were the easiest that I did was the map light if you know the loyal's they did not come with the map light right above by the rear view mirror like the gl's did. here are some photos that I took before I sold the car. Just an FYI I did not sell the car with my pugs Therefore my RX 4 door sedan

  13. I'm not running 27 inch tires I'm running 24 inch BF Goodrich Touring TA My lift is adjustable coilovers all four corners maxed out And Honda Accord coil springs for the rear but who needs a welded diff when you run an LSD with dual range 4 wheel drive and my RX is not scared of dents and scratches but I had to ask anyway
  14. I know they won't pull out Because I also used for front windshield Glu As a sealer and you cannot pull them things off I tried with the sheet metal screws out And they were not budging
  15. Is there room for my RX and i to show what we do best? I think you all may be surprised
  16. The luggage rack on the trunk is factory on the car new all I did was just paint it black instead of the chrome and for the roof rack I didn't really drill holes I use self drilling sheet metal screws with a little bit of silicone so it doesn't leak
  17. All I did was take the roof racks off of a 84 Subaru wagon And it seems to be plenty sturdy
  18. Another question my neutral switch code 51 comes up does that have to do with the little sending unit thingy at the pedal? Because it only seems to come on while I am driving
  19. Yep all the codes are now cleared on my 92 Loyale four wheel drive conversion car All except for every now and then when I'm driving the check engine light will come on and its code 51 neutral switch how are they talking about the switch at the pedal or is it something to do with the sending unit in the transmission I assume it is talking about at the pedals can anyone tell me if I'm right or wrong ?
  20. no it is a 5speed dual range 4 hi 4 low
  21. Figured it out didn't realize there was supposed to be two solenoids I dug around the shop and I found it plugged it in and the code went away and I'm still running with no EGR whatsoever the solenoids I just plugged them in to the harness and left the vacuum lines off of the solenoids Plugged what vacuum lines I needed to up now I just need to get a coolant sending unit and the check engine light should stay completely off I assume that is what is wrong because the code comes up and I can unplug the sending unit at the plug and it still reads the same thing at the ecu
  22. I'd like to say something about this thread My 86 rx 4 door sedan When its cold outside it won't go into reverse It doesn't grind or stiff shifting but when I put it into reverse its like its in neutral it shifts into the reverse positioned perfectly the backup lights come on and everything But the car just won't move After a few attempts at going into reverse then it will finally go What in the biscuit would cause that
  23. Really a Toyota like what a 22re? And we are talking about the part that's in the photo correct?

  25. Okay I figured out the backup lights got those working Believe it or not the front wheel drive transmission harness worked on the four-wheel-drive transmission sending unit as in just for the sending unit for the back up lights So that was a relatively easy fix for backup lights I have not hooked up the 4 wheel drive lights for the dash and I don't think I'm going to cuz I really don't care if it has the dummy lights on the dash for the 4 wheel drive because its kinda obvious you know when its in 4 wheel drive with a dual range transmission the positioning of the shifter is good enough for me
