  1. My car's getting hotter than normal too, and I just replaced my radiator.... Maybe I should replace the thermostat... I dont know
  2. I hope my long trip ends up like yours (But mine's less than half of what you've done)
  3. I'm about there... $1,000 in stereo and alarm into my coupe
  4. When I get the money, I'm buying four $125 car on $600 rims FTW
  5. Good luck finding one in Los Angeles junkyards... The Datsun 510 boys sure seem to like the LSD's out here and they're spendy.
  6. Unfortunately it's not that they sell all the parts off of them, but they seem to crush them WAY before the Hondas and Fords And yeah, I missed that sale too
  7. If you dont know what an IAC is and you work on your Soob..... gah
  8. He has a Carter Weber... Like Zap said, try to get a waiver if you can, i've never heard of it myself... maybe pop a good Hitachi on it until you pass the test, or just find some other way to screw the system (I registered my car out of state)
  9. So now I get into "think mode" and contemplate rebuilding my axle...
  10. Yeah, because you know, my transmission is slipping and shifting hard when cold, and it totally shifts like a baby when warm, but it slipped ONCE when warm too, and ah man... i dont know what to do If I wasn't "on the road" I'd probably fix it, but it's gonna have to wait :dead:
  11. Wait a minute.... Where's the transmission breather? Maybe mine's clogged, and maybe that's why mine shifts weird and pushes the dipstick out of the tube?
  12. Mine fell off twice too....once on the highway (I tend to keep my 1/2 inch breaker bar and 7/8 socket in the car now) then I got it home, put Loctite on the bolt, torqued it down, and 200 miles later, no problems... No pin on mine
  13. Could the ATF level and the ATF itself have anything to do with this? I've only had this happen to me once, and it was right after i took up a steep grade.. Seemed like a dying disty, but it's not loose at all. The alternator is newish; and it checked out OK on the meter.
  14. Okay, i was driving home and i had the automatic in second... i noticed it jumps rpms from like one to one and a half thousand with no throttle, yet the car wont do it in drive, just the low gears. whats the deal? by the way its an 86 with the 3at and spfi
  15. Maybe the timing belts are a tad too loose and the cam jumped a tooth? For me, open covers + Arizona dirt roads with assorted rocks = cracked windshield, but no timing belt issues. When the timing is advanced, are'nt you supposed to use high test regardless, or it will ping? I personally have no idea, as I don't advance mine, but I've heard it before..
  16. You can put in Silverstars with no extra wiring. Auto parts stores have books (and sometimes machines) to show you all of the bulb numbers. There should be one for the Silverstar bulbs, like 9004XV or something
  17. I want the coupe in beige.... but it's only in red? So, I guess I'd have to paint my coupe red, and put the red plush in the dashboard
  18. Is it wrong to actually REGRET putting an all new exhaust on your EA82?
  19. Sorry to hijack but... Where's this "relay" on an EA82?
