Brat on BAT
ha! guess the guy that bought it just used it for a few months, and decided to sell it probably because of the lack of parts, that is a stunning 21K it's at right now... 3 days remaning. so by the descriptions, the guy drove 500 miles on the original 1970's Bridgestone Tube tires? okay then....that dashboard looks unreal, and check out those centercaps i've never seen before, same goes for that A/C knob control before it was relocated above the 4wd shift knob but below the HVAC controls, never seen it on the left before. and i guess there will always be blanks on the instrument cluster of indicator lights, i think mine is only missing the door light. I don't think that spare tire is time period correct.... -here's a reply i found from the Current Owner of this- MikethePlumber (The Seller) 11 Not sure how to address questions individually, so I’ll answer a few in each of my posts. No evidence of a repaint are all. Paint is original factory paint. Yes I’m crazy, drove 500+ miles on 40 year old tires I’m selling it to put a down payment on the business you see in the background. I am told the wood steering wheel was a dealer option nobody bought due to cost. Also the weels are dealer option “Jackman” wheels… a little different than the stock set.

Junkyard Gem (autoblog)
only ever seen a GL-10 once, I regret not pulling those seats out of it, i pulled many things out of it including those 3 point contact door handle/arm rest, i was like eh i'll come back for the seats next weekend, and the car was gone already (crushed and scrapped). still had it's disk brakes that i know many are looking for.

Where? How?
Subasaurus replied to CaityP's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXmy guess is that someone upgraded their Impreza to have the foglights by buying them from say ebay, but didn't want to buy the covers from the dealership, so they took yours instead, comical... reminds me of people stealing the Mercedes front logo giant badges, 3 out of 4 of them are the twist off type... my mom's got stolen a few months ago and it was $120 to replace.

1977-1981 subaru transmissions.
could you be alittle more descriptive about the random parts? looking for seat belts in the bed.. mudflaps?

1968 Peugeot 404
still haven't found the oil filter, so each main bearing is of a different diameter, anyone ever experienced this or heard of something like this? 5 mains in total, rod bearings are normal and same across the board atleast. gonna send this engine to a machine shop tomorrow morning and see what happens, finally got the funds for it after selling my motorcycle. worst case scenario i might have to buy a 90's subaru donor legacy or something and modify the flywheel input for a peugeot transmission shaft, brace it up and make it work, call it the Peugaru? or Peugaroo? should i buy an early EJ engine and make it work in there or an EA71 and make it work in there?

Loyale2.7Turbo
i asked about him about a month ago lol, not sure either, last thing i knew from him is that he can only get on when he goes into the city since he lives outside the city, no internet, he was getting on once every week for about 2 months, then completely disappeared...

Rwd swap a brat
just let me know when you blow the diff and transmission apart, i'll be interested to buy a few parts from you when you part it out, keep me in mind!

Rwd swap a brat
not suppose to go over 45mph on 4wd, even without the front axles and just having the front wheels running like dummies on the front, there's like 2 warnings of this on the inside of the car itself. sorry to break your dreams, you'll explode that little transmission, same for the EA81, if you can even find a conversion anymore, still woun't work though.

Looking for brat wiper cowl

78/79 ignition compatibility?
make sure the fans kick on before overheating occurs, the temperature switch located on the ratiator go out all the time, i just have mine always woking with ignition key on, with an override switch between the seats for really cold days, or long highway driving, just have one that lights up red so that you don't forget it's off.

Very hard to shift, grinding gears
if it is cracked, only solution is to weld that crack, gotta take out the pedal cage out completely to do this correctly, lots of past discussions about this issue..

1968 Peugeot 404
haven't made an official list yet to organize myself, but i'll make one now, so far i have actually found most things with little searching, most parts are in Serbia for some reason lol. *$200 for the vehicle *$140 to dip the head in Acid, resurfaced, valve train cleaned, valves reseated, pushrods cleaned up. *$40 Engine Block Acid dipped and cleaned *$35 Crank Polished up and cleaned *$?? Camshaft Cleaned up and Polished *$80 for new old stock piston rings for all 4 Ebay *$9 for Piston Rod Journal Bearings Rockauto *$?? Mains for the Crank (Have not located them yet) *$25 Headgasket on Ebay Ohio USA *$8 X8=$64 Drum brake Pistons on RockAuto (this vehicle has an auto adjusting single Piston for each brake shoe, 8 pistons for 4 wheels, really strange design but brilliant) *$30 both headlight chrome bezel's Ebay *$40 both front turn signals Ebay *$?? Driver Tailight (Have not located one yet, im having problems finding a full red one, apparently only Peugeot's sold in France come in full red with no Amber, even to this day, looks dumb with amber on the rear fins) *$?? Brake Master Cylinder (Have not located one yet) Total as of right now i see ahead of myself for this weekend is around $470 + Basic fluids for the vehicle$100 + Registration$250approx + UnknownFactors$200approx + $200vehicle itself = $1,220 to get the car back on the road. already have a car battery designated for it that i've had. the machine shop might be able to help me find mains, perhaps from another vehicle that might fit? don't know yet. going to sell my 79 Honda Motorcycle to help with funds for this project, don't want to feel the impact of it on my own funds lol, plus don't want to get killed on it too, im very immature when it comes to a fast car or a motorcycle, that's why i'll stick with my slow cars.

- EA82 HVAC Question
factory installed 80's A/C compressors are suppose to cut off if you floor it to give you that extra amount of power incase of an emergency, i don't think Dealer added ones ever did though, i know 90's Subaru's do this too.- EA82 HVAC Question
i asked this a few years ago and supposedly it's to cycle things around everyonce in a while, i didn't buy it. i just put a manual switch to turn the A/C On and Off, much more freedom, i could redirect the air wherever i pleased, if i wanted my legs to be cold but not my arms, i could override the A/C to come on even though it wasn't suppose to... just a thought.- 1968 Peugeot 404
cam shaft is the only thing remaining to remove now, all pistons, mains, rod bearings, crank are completely out, replacing and rebuilding everything now, gotta go dunk this head in some acid and get it machined somewhere now, same for the crank. - EA82 HVAC Question
