  1. the owners manual should hav ride height, ground clearance and stuff like that, i'd check there first.....
  2. just do a port and polish, and a valve job, replace the old valves with newer ones from a 2.2 im sure you could do it...... it would just take money...
  3. as much as i would love to do this, i cant.... my legacy got a borla header within months of owning it and since it runs around the front of the oil pan, it wouldnt work..... so i geuss i'll have to keep on thinking and see if i can come up with something else.....
  4. the 85 and 86 year models of the 4wd wagon had adjustable struts from the factory.... its only an inch, but every little bit helps... i would say that your best bet in finding any of these would be at your local junkyard..... as these things are pricey from parts stores....( last i checked it was around $175 per corner )
  5. i have heard from my mechanic that there is a legacy conversion kit for the xt6 allowing the user to install legacy struts front and rear... so, if you were to say do the 5 lug swap, you should be able to do the legacy swap, then your spring options would increase significantly....... just a thought.....i'll see what i can dig up on that swap....
  6. im going more for 31x10.50's, but thanks for the info guys!! and good luck with those 275's....
  7. i had thought of spacers, but i dont want to prematurely wear out the wheel bearing....... i might just have to space them anyway as the tires i want to run arent going to fit unless i do......
  8. the ej33 is dohc, and probably wont fit without some bfh adjustments....
  9. id be down fro having some fun in the legacy..... hopefully i'll get off my but soon and get those springs installed.... my wagon is not near big enough yet.....
  10. does anyone know what the svx spline count for the axels is? and are the front control arms any different? im trying to come up with a way to make my legacy wider, but not having any luck, so figured i'd try this route, but i dont have access to a svx......
  11. you should be able to swapo your clutch pack to a r160, because i believe that was the diff used with the clutch pack lsd diffs.......
  12. i got mine for the legacy im lifting from rallitek i believe, although i havent yet installed them...... i dont remember how much i payed either, but they look nice if that helps any..
  13. ita actually really easy to do, all you need is the rear disc trailing arms and some time... its just a straight swap.....and it improves braking alot.....
  14. well, hopefully the next time a meet gets planned i will have the d/r and springs in my legacy, and have it running and driveable....... wish i could've been there, but had to work on the car instead.
  15. im in arvada. i drive a somewhat lifted legacy wagon, hoping to make it bigger soon..... gotta put the springs in....
  16. as far as easy access to removing an axel, has anyone ever thought of using somethng like a hood pin design? that way u could just pull the pin and remove the axel... no more rotating of tires to get to the pin....just a thought
  17. i got mine from tirerack as well.. good price, better than the dealler, and better than my mechanic, so, thats who i went with
  18. i am definately interested in a ej to ea adapter plate. esspecially since i will be moving in the next few months and dont want to drag my parts car with me.... so, for me the sooner the better......
  19. if im there i wont be eating seeing as i will be eating later in the day with my fiancee.... so dont worry about feeding me if im there....
  20. i'll try to make it, but the clutch might not make it that long........ so i might have to bring my other car, which would be sacralidge, its a 77 mitsubishi lancer, disguised as a dodge colt.....
  21. looks nice. i was actually thinking of doing that with a hatch instead.....
  22. if your gonna swap motors for something more reliable, why not go for an ej22 instead? prolly the same amount of work, but you end up with more power and more reliability....
