Legacy Lift Kit with large tires
i've heard that mudrat is making em, but dont know on the price, and everyone else is making it themselves for cheap..... you think you could also make an adapter to use the ej flywheel with the ea tranny???? that would bge excelent!!

Who has a lifted Legacy/OBW?
if i can find a place to store my tranny and rear diff for awhile ill be ok, but my parents garage is getting kinda full, so i dont know......
-
EJ25 into 78 Brat
so long as your gears are the same, diff can stay, and the axles will be fine as well... i believe that the turbo stubs have the same number of splines as the early legacies, im not too sure about the later models though.....

Legacy Lift Kit with large tires
im working on saving for one of those legacy lifts now. i've got lift springs to go with it, so we'll see how big i can make it before exploding the half shafts... do u make the d/r tranny adapter plates too? cause i need one of those as well....

Who has a lifted Legacy/OBW?
well, things are looking better for the newer gen stuff. people are making lifts now, and we're figuring things out little by little. if you get a regular legacy, use outback struts and springs to get about 3-4 inches of lift, then you can run at least 27's without problems. i believe that allied armament makes a body lift for the legacy, and mudrat is dong the d/r tranny into an ej car. so it kinda all depends on what you really want to do......but the possibilities are out there.. not to mention the motor upgrades are easier to find for the ej than the ea..

Front Differential
offroadsubaruguy replied to tcspeer's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXcheck the seals around the axel stubs. subaru half shafts dont actually go into the diff, they hook onto it...

using a 2.2 liter dual port for a 2.5 swap.
i believe that the dual port was 90-94, but i could be wrong. if you look at the exhaust manifold, you should be able to determine if it is single or dual.... i do know that my 90 legacy has dual ports....... im sure you could use a single port, but if you do, you would need the exhaust manifold to go with it...... should just bolt right up.

Who's Who, Offroad 2005
hopefully soon i will get a pic of my wagon with the springs in....... it might be a little while though, i need to modify a few things to get em to fit and work right..... nothin a bfh and a sawzall cant fix though, might need a welder too....
-
Swaybar, or no?
as long as you dont drive like a mad man you'll be ok. go ahead and remove both of the sway bars, i did on my old wagon, and i plan to with my legacy once i get the springs in.....

Colorado meet?
i'll only be able to hang around for a couple of hours , but i'll be there......

Basic Exhaust Upgrade for '97 Legacy 2.2
you could always get the gt exhaust from the cat back, that would be bigger diameter, and would bolt right up......
-
1987 RX suspention
after you do the five lug swap, try looking for a kit to replace the air struts on an xt6 with legacy struts... my mechanic told me that there was such a thing..... that way you could upgrade alot, and in anyway you want to...

Turbo for offroad
remember that a n/a ea car has at amx something like 90 hp, so an ej22 for say has around 140ish stock? so add a few things here and there and it would actually be pretty easy to get to at least 160-170 range......thats quite a jump from 90.....
-
Colorado meet?
im cool with goin to roni's place so she can cook!!! hahahahaha!! not really, thats too much work for one person... im down with the meet, i'll request the time off so i can be there. i'll also go ahead and see about getting as much of my ea82 stuff down there with me seeing as i cant use it on my new car... hopefully i will have it going again by that time....... a few small fixes need to be tended to......cant wait to see everyone there!!!!!

Colorado meet?
if you can give enough time for me to get a day off from work, saturdays would be better

EJ EA Swap - Different Clutch Fitment
i dont see why it wouldnt work, so long as you make sure that it's relatively balanced and flat. i dont see why it would change anything.. just make sure that it covers the same amount of area that the crank would and i would think you shouldnt have any problems at all...

EJ EA Swap - Different Clutch Fitment
i geuss i've always been a floor it and go kinda guy, so i've never had a situation where i would be slow rolling into something and then have problems stalling out, but i geuss we'll see wont we.. worse comes to worse, i can always build another legacy or impreza as a street car and use it there.

EJ EA Swap - Different Clutch Fitment
how so? a lighter flywheel improves revability and acceleration time, tell me why thats bad for offroading?
-
EJ EA Swap - Different Clutch Fitment
i was thinking of trying the same thing since i just bought a light weight flywheel for the legacy, but still want to do the swap to the d/r, if you have success with this, let me know........
-
The Ultimate Snorkel Thread......
i dont have a pick, but i was going to use one made for a toyota pick up on my legacy........ come's with all the necessary pipping to fit it to a toyota, i figure it should work for my legacy with a few small mods....
-
what tranny parts can be swapped?
if you want to keep awd, try using a rx tranny and doing the legacy gears.... you should be able to swap the d/r low into the rx tranny, but i dont know if anyone has tried that yet....

N/A 2.2L mods?
offroadsubaruguy replied to renyo's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXanything from a 93-01 model impreza will fit. if your looking for engine mods, good luck. there really arent any. you can use some stuff from the 2.5rs. things like cat back exhaust will work weather it be for the 2.5 or not. like renyo said, whiteline makes some good suspension stuff. you can also use lowering springs for a 2.5rs, and just about anything suspension related....

Help TURBOING a 2.2 liter outback
i would suggest getting a turbo kit...... thats really the easiest way to do it.... i think it was AVO that made one for around $4,500.... a little pricey, but the best option..
