i just might have to go home and trim my bumper now...... it looks pretty good, but i do agree that you ned to reposition the bumper bar.....
-
plain and simple, no. swaybars are just secondary springs to the struts... they are not neccesarry. just dont drive like a mad man in the streets and you'll be fine.
-
the best way to find out is to try it... find a friend with some subaru 15's hanging around, and see if one of them will fit.... if it does your good....

well, im getting ready to do a tranny swap in my legacy to make it a true 4wd... im going to use the d/r from my old wagon, but the new wagon needs new mounts.... i found some cusco mounts that claim they will fit any legacy, impreza or forester..... will they work with my ea tranny as well???? just figured id see if anyone knows for sure before i buy them, just in case.
-
i'll have to see what i can do with the legacy when i get the springs on... maybe i'll just use a car ramp or something, i got some spare time today......

did u put the lsd additive in with the fresh gear oil? if you dont use additive that can make the lsd not work right......
-
whats wrong with using the ring gear from the lsd? shouldnt they both be the same size?

need to add a snorkel, and a splash/skid plate!

just follow the fender well to the upper back corner of the fender, works like a charm, at least mine did....... -
has anyone ever tried using the rear diff insides of a lsd to make a lsd front diff? like taking the actual diff itself out of the case and try using it in the tranny? just a thought......
-
is it possible to swap over legacy/impreza sub frames to a 89 wagon? i know that there will be somne necesary suspension mods to the car so that it will all work, but i was thinking incorporate a body lift to help with that process..... what do you guys think???? that way i could essentially use the outback struts and springs on an old style wagon....... and have camber adjustment...... just a thought.......... it would be pretty pimpin if it were to work........

im ok with wherever, it would be nice to meet some new faces again, and to see everyones rides, i still need to get my springs in, but that could be done without too much of an issue, i hope...... lets keep this going, it needs to happen agian!!! -
i take my 2.2 to redline all the time.... the only side effect? it gets a little loud and makes people stare at me alot....( im also running only one cat and the borla header combined with a flowmaster "muffler", and the weapon R intake, it makes the car sound pretty mean.) you wont hurt the motor by revving the piss out of it... they put a rev limiter on it for a reason......

subaru's are like legos. you can interchange just about everything. all sohc heads can interchange with each other, and all dohc heads can interchange with each other, you can even swap a sohc setup for a dohc setup. every single one of the ej motors is the same block, just different amounts of bore and stroke make up the larger motors...

Official Lift Kit Group Buy
offroadsubaruguy replied to Shadyirishmen's topic in Products for your Subaru
i could be interested in an outback lift, but im a little shy of funding right now...... -
lift kit, try scorpion automotive. australian company, look up renickmotorsports.com for that. perfomance parts for the 2.2, you wont find any, instead look for some small things for the 2.5 such as intakes and catback exhaust. borla does make a header for the 2.2. why do you want 2wd? awd is better, but i think there is a fuse in the engine bay you can pull? not possitive on that one.

i've got 4 500's on the front of my legacy with no temp change at all...... i ran two on the old wagon and never expierenced any temp change....... i think you'll be ok.

Forester with 4" lift and 29" Super Swampers
offroadsubaruguy replied to Forester_Ranger's topic in Off Road
which level of phantom grip did u use? the street one might not be the best choice, i'd go with something along the race lines.... of course you could go for a cusco, but be prepared to spend huge amounts of money, and im not sure if it would fit in an ea82 tranny....... the last i looked at prices, $1,500 was the cheapest i could find...... i'd rather try a stronger phantom grip instead........ just my opinion though.... -

if done correctly, no. because everything gets dropped the same amount from the body......
