  1. Last time i tried to make it, my engine blew up... we'll see if I attempt to make it this time around -Brian
  2. Yup, probably different. Nothing other than Peugeot share the same lug pattern as our subies. -Brian
  3. I wouldnt worry too much about points or anything, just get a new distributor cap and rotor. Take the old ones with you so you can match them to the new. There were 2 types of distributors for EA81's... Nippodenson and HItachi. Use NGK plugs, nothing else. Get new wires too... even if your old ones still look good. -Brian
  4. I think a steel front bumper for a set of airbags is a good trade Just think of how much safer he is now that he's not being protected by styrafoam and plastic. Lookin good Austin! -Brian
  5. No pineapple this year... right? I want a fighting chance. -Brian
  6. Im with Jibs. We should choose something that any stock rig can go on (or be yanked up). Maybe Sunday after camp has been packed up, we could organize a final run through Mt. Hood somewhere, do lunch somewhere scenic, then when we're done everyone could split ways and head home. -Brian
  7. Money?? Contact me. I have some springs you could put in your car that would drop the front end about an inch. Might also be able to find a rx kit. they show up in yards all around -Brian
  8. Since your car is SPFI and not turbo, i would suggest upgrading to a 2" exhaust. If you dont have emissions, dump the catalytic converter if you can. -Brian
  9. Here's your help. XT struts bolt into standard EA82 bodies. Same thing... but 2WD XT struts are 2" shorter than standard EA82. More info, if your car is 4WD... it has the tallest struts subaru offered for your model year. THats a start. Also, body kits are out there. RX coupes have them (my car). Pretty bolt on and mild look. -Brian
  10. Sorry bud, cant really help you. I had no idea where henderson is. Call up some auto recyclers and ask for rims from a Peugeot model 505 or 504. If you get alloy wheels, you need to make sure you get the peugeot lug nuts as well. -Brian
  11. Oh yeah... and the performance part: I still got blown away by everything out there from Dodge Caravans to Toyota Hybrids. My EA82T didnt have any low end grunt. The new motor im putting together should change all that. -Brian
  12. Brads car has no performance. In that shot, it was N/A SPFI and right now... well, i dont even think it moves Here's my car lowered. I cant talk tho... mine hasnt moved in 3 months either. -Brian
  13. How far from Reno is that? Is that southern Nevada or Northern? -Brian
  14. Yeah, i have some brake cleaner... maybe i'll go spray it and leave it overnight. The gasket is super thick... i dont really feel like grinding all of it away. Maybe i'll take it to work and use the wire wheel we have there... make real quick work of the job -Brian
  15. Im preparing the engine to go back together. I got a couple oil pans in the garage and im trying to get the old gasket off of them. The old gasket is hard, brittle and stuck to the oil pan. ANyone have any tricks up their sleeve to loosen the gasket material? -Brian
  16. Oh yeah! DUH! Sorry. Power mirrors should be pretty easy. -Brian
  17. How far from Reno are you? 14" alloys and 14" steels are alot easier to find than you might think. I may know where a couple sets are. -Brian
  18. How else is the window going to go up and down? ANd your wagon has different glass than the hatch. So, i doubt the tracks would work the same. -Brian
  19. I wont have to PM you... im sure you, and the rest of the USMB will know when its running -Brian
  20. Not hard if you know how to wire it. You need the window track, motor and switches from the donar car. If your car is EA81, the window control box module is located under the drivers seat. You may need that as well. -Brian
  21. Here's the rack i had him make for me: He sent it bare metal, i primed it and coated it with bedliner. Here's the bumper I had him make for me: -Brian
  22. Got all the parts to put it back together... just gotta get off my rump and do it. -Brian
  23. Yup, them are enkies alright. Not a bad lookin car. -Brian
  24. Thats what i'd usually do, but im putting my EA82T back together and the lifters have been sitting out for weeks with no oil. I dont want to just put them back in. I was thinking of soaking them in a tub of MMO for a few days before putting them in the engine. -Brian
  25. Buddy. A set of 14" alloys would look really sharp on that wagon. That color wagon will go with almost anything, so even 15's wouldnt look bad. The 5lug swap isnt a bad idea, but its ALOT of work for an extra lug. If you want to do it for the suspension then thats another thing. Anyhow, there is a set of 14" alloys in the yard here. And 15's come and go, i've pulled so many pug alloys out of the Sac PnP... i cant remember how many. -Brian
