  1. Nother font idea. I'll try something different later after work. -Brian
  2. I have a hundred or so different fonts to choose from. Found a webpage with 6500 the other night and just went crazy. Can always add Mount Hood Oregon, 2006 or anything else we want around it.... just focusing on logo for this. -Brian
  3. You know what i think. Should also trim your front fender alittle too while your at it. -Brian
  4. Why is the hood and the rear gate still on? I say strip it and then jump it You could probably loose another 80+ pounds. Dont forget, those pesky windshields are heavy too. -Brian
  5. If the engine has a clutch fan behind the radiator, check all the blades on that. If some are worn out or broke it may make funny noises. And throwout bearings like to whistle when they go out. Usually you can tell its a throwout bearing if the sound goes away with movement of the clutch peddle. -Brian
  6. I think those emblems with the wreath make it look like more of a VFW event instead of a Subaru event. Maybe if we incorporated something automotive into the design, like a piston, a steering wheel... something? Those all look like real bad knockoffs of the subaru logo, not a custom WCSS logo. -Brian
  7. 1st thing that came to my mind is shifting. Expecially if its a manual, trying to fabricate a lever mechanism would be near impossible if the shift linkages all came out of the bottom of the tranny. -Brian
  8. Those are some old pictures. I remember seeing those pictures about 8 years ago when I 1st started getting into subarus. I'd like to see some current pix, expecially if he thinks he's gonna get 25k for that thing -Brian
  9. The car has a Dual Range AWD Gearbox with locking center diff. ALso, the rear has a limited slip 3.9 That tranny and diff combo was only offered in the RX. -Brian
  10. JB's buying lunch??? IM THERE!!! I wish I cant make it, but hopefully i can get some work done of my own. Have fun. -Brian
  11. More info on that deck face mod... thats brilliant! -Brian
  12. This is still very early... yes. I plan on taking i-5 from sacramento to weed, then i can hit 97 and meet you guys in k-falls. We'll have to come up with dates and times and everything as the time passes. -Brian
  13. A 2WD Subaru that needs a clutch is worth, at most, $700. If your looking for a good subaru, keep an eye on Craigslist. Subies can be had real cheap in our area The '85 engine you pulled is completly different than the one in that '84. And is easier to pull. -Brian
  14. $2200 is way too much for that car. Your looking at a $1200 car at most. I paid $1100 for my 1984 GL Wagon, 4wd basic options. That was at a local dealer who had it listed for $1400, which i thought was too high. And after taxes and dealer fees that $2200 is more like $2500, $2700, which can get you a good used Legacy or Impreza in the '91-96 range. Oh, and where in NorCal are you? Im in Sacramento. -Brian oh, and a clutch kit for that car will probably be under $130 after tax. Installing them on these old EA81's are a snap.
  15. The laptop I am using can be plugged into any ole conventional projector, doesnt need to be digital. If we had a large TV, i could plug into that as well. -Brian
  16. isnt Subaru West sponsoring the show? Maybe they can help us figure out how to use it legaly. -Brian
  17. I just got a laptop that can be hooked to any projector rather easily and will play DVD or any other files. -Brian
  18. I wont be able to make it anywhere this weekend. I should be wrapping up my motor and dropping it in Sunday. The weekend after next Im trying to get up there so me and Jibs can hit the moonrocks. -Brian
  19. Oh, your in Australia. Well, have you figured out if you have low range yet? Its really not rocket science. -Brian
  20. Yeah, hanging out is the best part. Ontop of camping with a couple hundred subarus. -Brian
  21. Primary event is the show and shine, takes place on Saturday around noonish... then there's an awards event afterward where we'll have dinner. Plenty of raffles and stuff as well. Last year i spent $20 in raffle tickets and made out like a bandit. I sure hope this year there are as many cool prizes, i want a SPT barstool for my garage -Brian
  22. There's a complete forum dedicated to Subie - VW Swaps. They call it the Vanagon forum. -Brian
