  1. Shan. I got some nice Accel 8mm wires you can have. Bought a set for a V8, so i have 4 extra's that would work better with your coil. The EA81 with weber will be better for you. You might as well hand that EA81T over to me -Brian
  2. WOOHOO!!! Another local! Im located in Sacramento. I frequent Lake Tahoe for fishing, snowboarding, camping and off-roading. The ticking is normal, should probably do the oil flush again, what addative did you use the 1st time? MMO does wonders. These cars love road trips. Ive taken my 1984 GL Wagon from Sacramento to Seattle and back. Then again from Sacramento to Eugene Oregon and back. Both times i didnt have a single problem. And the valve tap on my EA81 is probably twice as bad as your original tap. Do you ever take that thing off-road? Ever wanted to? Im always looking for more people willing to join me. -Brian
  3. Its running the correct way, i think your right. Seems like it wanted to fail the entire trip back. I will have to go get a new one. Been looking at hydrolic conversions, but looks like it wont be easy, expecially with the Subaru's Pull clutch VS. most jeep and yota's Push clutch. -Brian
  4. What can i do to loosen up my clutch peddle on my '84 Wagon? After the lift, it seems like after the lift the clutch has become ALOT stiffer. The other day, i think i bent something in the peddle assembly, or maybe the cable is failing... but i lost all clutch capabliity's, had to hold the peddle to the floor just to be able to force the car in gear. I tightened the cable as much as posslbe, and it made it alittle easier to shift gears, but it was getting harder and harder the more i drove. Has anybody here ever pondered the idea of a hydrolic clutch conversion? -Brian
  5. I wanna guesss.... Uhmm.... a 1986 GL10 Sedan? -Brian
  6. A/C back in the day was either a factory option or a dealer option. The sticker just states wether the A/C was installed at the factory or at the dealer, not sure which would put a sticker on your window tho. -Brian
  7. Yeah, except your album was in the main album listing... I moved it to the USMB Photo Album. Its very simple. -Brian
  8. The gallery is called just that... Gallery. There is a link to the webpage at the bottom of the USMB gallery, in very small text. Should say Gallery 1.4.1 I wouldnt attempt trying to install it. You have to have admin access and know how to change file permissions in order to configure it. -Brian
  9. The gallery layout is a PHP based web program, alot different than DW. I have a great freeware program called Catalog 2.0 that will take a specified directory of photo's, resize them and make thumbnails, then sort them out on a nicely formatted webpage. Just like this: http://www.subaru4wd.net/New/offroad/kyburz/pix.html thats how i used to compile my photo's back in the day, now i dont need to cause we got the gallery. -Brian Oh yeah, miles... get on Yahoo!
  10. Yeah ive gotten everyone's PM but havent had the time to make new users. The new version has an automated registration that will create a username for you. I'll be letting the board know how it progresses, and when people will be able to sign up agian. -Brian
  11. Going to try to finish it up tomorrow, and wouldnt want to make anybody ship something at this time of the year. Im sure the post office is packed and will be until Jan The junkyard im going to usually has at least 20 to 30 EA81's to pick from. I figure i'd have a better chance of matching the paint code there. -Brian
  12. Well, i figured i should finally get off my tucus and do some work on the wagon. Its been sitting out front for too long. For those that dont know, i hit a telephone pole and crumpled the front passenger side fender. Here's the 1st pic, after the accident: and this is today in the garage... Before: and after: Took alot of pounding. I also used a chain and anchored the sube to my parents jeep, and used reverse on the sube to pull most of it out. Tomorrow i head to the junkyard for a fender and hood and headlight assembly. More pictures here: http://usmb.net/gallery/album100 -Brian
  13. my EA81 Wagon has a locking gas cap. I was able to open it using a small flathead screwdriver until i found the key for it. -Brian
  14. When we lift our cars, we're putting lift blocks between the suspension and body. Also between the engine crossmember and body. In the rear, we put blocks between the body and diff hanger, and drop the suspension 3" using custom adapters. We're not changing any of the suspension components at all. The only thing we get is 3" more clearance between the wheel and fender, allowing us to use larger tires. Of course, that doesnt mean people arent experimenting with new suspensions. -Brian
  15. Okay... Tuesday the 6th we wheel... and Wednesday the 7th we board. Thats even better, cause tuesdays and wednesdays are my regular days off. -Brian
  16. on 2nd thought... maybe we'll do some real trail riding... depends on if you want to risk your wagon on a trail before the trip home. There should be plenty of snow up north if you wanna play in the snow. -Brian
  17. The gallery is done. WOW! That was easy! I cant believe how smart this software is. I upgraded from Gallery v.1.3.3 to version 1.4.1. It has alot of great new features, so please login and check them out. Also, please convert your photo albums. All you need to do is visit the album once, it will convert it for you to the newer format. Im working on the Self Registration part. After that is complete, anybody can request a login straight from the USMB Gallery, and have it created automaticly. Please let me know if anything is not working. -Brian
  18. Ok, so the RPM's rise, but the speedo doesnt? Sounds to me like a clutch issue then. -Brian
  19. If you have the car in gear, and you give the car gas... does your speedo rise even tho the car doesnt move? -Brian
  20. Yeah, im always in need of hard drives. No money available right now durring the holiday season. -Brian
  21. Jared, when are you going to be in town? I need confirmed dates so I can get vacation. The 5th and 6th are a monday and tuesday. If you will be in town those days, then this is the plan: Monday January 5th: Wake up early and goto Tahoe for a full day of the best snowboarding youve ever done in your whole entire life! Tuesday January 6th: Wake up early and goto Prairey City off-road Park near Folsom to do some mediocure off-roading in the ORV park there. Then Tuesday night I have to bowl from 6pm to 9pm. Wednesday January 7th: My birthday! So... anything goes! People who want to join, post a message here. -Brian
  22. I have to put a temperary hold on gallery login's right now. The image gallery has exploded and has been much more popular than I had 1st imagined. Im in the process of backing up the 4200+ pictures and upgrading to faster software. So the gallery will be put on hold. Pictures are still available for viewing and current members can still add photos. If you are interested in a login/password, please send me an PM and i'll let you know when they're available. -Brian
