  1. short time? Hrm, not sure. Gotta find another place to park myself, and hopefully that place has room for 3 sube's Possibly 4. The car will most likely stay in Mendocino for a while until I do locate a place for it, but im still going up there Saturday to get it so I can drive it to my friends. -Brian
  2. Jeremy, if you are serious I might need to take you up on that offer. -Brian
  3. :D :D :D :D Brings back memories of my 1st Subaru. But of course, in ALOT better condition: I pick it up a week from Saturday. The only problem is I dont have anywhere to park it... From what i've heard, it needs a radiator and a CV Joint. Moosens, you know we'll be in touch. Think you can scrounge up a couple working CV's? and/or a Radiator?? There are alot more pix here: http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo14 What do you guys think? -Brian
  4. http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo96 NV Zeno,Subieman and I all got together and went to some local trails I know of in Kyburz CA. Not too far from Tahoe. We originally planned to goto Tahoe, but most of the trails are closed for the winter. still plenty of snow for us to play in! We'll definatly need to do this again soon, and bring more sube's next time. -Brian
  5. Yeah, plans arent solid, we'll just meet there and see what happens. See you guys at 11... -Brian
  6. The one thing i like the most about my magnetic mount was the fact that i could move the antenna anywhere. I had it mounted to the brushguard before, but it broke my antenna wire when the guard hit a tree. On my last trip to Oregon, i was able to move the antenna from my hood, to my roof, to the bumper of my car and then remove it for the drive home. It does leave marks, but so do the rocks and tree's I hit. -Brian
  7. How much snow did you guys get up there? The Wagon isnt affraid of snow, and i have a strap that should be long enough to pull us out. Jeremy, can the hatch come out to play??? -Brian
  8. Not sure of the stock, but im sure you could fit some 6" or 6.5" comfortably. Are the doors on a EA82 coupe longer than the doors on a EA82 Wagon? -Brian
  9. Im thinking around noon would be good. NV Zeno will be comming from Carson City, I myself will be leaving Sacramento around 10am. Dave can add more information to the whereabouts, anyone willing to scratch their car is welcome to come along Jeremy, if you see this and your at home, get on Yahoo! and message me please. -Brian
  10. I think the wagon has a CV problem, but im not worried about it. Its the alternator and the fuel problem im worried about. I think my wagon needs a fuel filter, or at worse a new pump. Definatly need to slap a new alternator in, but that will all be done by the end of the day. Dave, what time do you want to meet? Should we pick a central spot in Truckee or something? I assume your comming from Carson City. -Brian
  11. Jeremy.... PM me too. Do you want to go hit some trails Wednesday with us? Dave, are these trails on the US 50 side or the I80 side of Tahoe? -Brian
  12. YOU KNOW IT!!! What are you doing Wednesday? I'll be in Tahoe that day. -Brian
  13. I had business cards, but they were all in my Wagon at the time. Mick made stickers, but they are kinda small. Now that we have a shorter domain name, i wanna get USMB.net stickers made of vinyl. -Brian
  14. Im always up for a day trip to Tahoe. I live 2hours from there. As a matter of fact, im planning on going up there Wedensday. As for a Hilister trip, lets plan something for after January. I added you to my MSN list, maybe i'll see you online sometime. -Brian
  15. I have wednesdays and tuesdays off. Shannon has become very busy lately, but i know he can get free time, and i'll plant the seed now and talk to him about a weekend. Maybe we can plan a weekend trip in like January or something. I'm always up for a day trip if i have the time. -Brian
  16. HAHAHAH!!! An AMC Eagle. And it has an extension cord sticking out of the hood. I havent seen anything like that since i moved from Alaska. -Brian
  17. Actually, last year it did snow here in sac. Not enough to stick, but it was huge flakes. Snowed for a good 20minutes before it turned back into rain. I wasnt talking about boarding in Sac, but we're 90min from Tahoe. There's an off-road park less than 30minutes away too... so we could go wheeling on a saturday and then go boarding on a sunday... then if we wanted, we could drive to the beach on a monday. -Brian
  18. Jared... we have 4wheeling and snowboarding here in Sacramento! No need to drive to WA for it. -Brian
  19. Peaked up means you can modify the amplifier the CB uses to recieve and send signal's. FCC regulations limits the amount of wattage, but people modify them and i believe that's what he means by "peaked up" Matched means the CB has been tuned to the Antenna and vice versa. Your antenna works best when its matched to the CB, a propperly tuned CB and antenna will give you the best results, but it is not necessary. -Brian
  20. yeah, it helps if your CB is tuned correctly for your vehicle and your antenna, but it doesnt matter if your just talking to the car thats 20' in front of you. I still havent had my CB Tuned, and it worked great on my off-road trip with Adam and Tony. It also worked great the entire drive home, i followed Jared (rooinator) from Eugene to Sacramento, and we stayed awake most the time by chatting over our CB's. -Brian
  21. make sure you mark the real ones, or at least 1 of the real ones so you dont try to break loose a bunch of welded lugs with your lug wrench. -Brian
  22. From what ive heard it grounds better if attatched to the roof, but if you ran a solid ground from the antenna to the chassi it should ground out just fine. You will want to have it in the center of the roof tho for best results. My rack has a custom tab that is for my antenna, sits about 4" above the roof... but i like my magentic mount alot so I think i'll keep using that -Brian
  23. I got my CB from wal-mart for $35. Basic 40chan CB with squelch and volume. I got my whip from Napa for $17. It was packaged as a trucker special, came with a 60" whip, mounting bracket and a 6' cable. I broke my cable when my brushguard was hit by a tree. I went to RadioShack and got a magnetic base mount that had 10' of cable leading from it, it was on sale for $10 (was all old and beat up, packaging ripped) The magnetic mount worked ALOT better than my brushguard mount. I put the magnetic mount in the center of the roof for the wagon. I've heard the roof act's as a type of dish that the signals bounce off of and are picked up by the antenna. When my antenna was mounted to the brushguard, i couldnt pick up anything. Now with the same antenna mounted to the magent and in the center of the car i pick up ton's of channels clear as a whistle. -Brian
