  1. an 84 GL with a 1600? Doesnt sound likely. Was this a Hatch or a Wagon? -Brian
  2. Mick, should we start working on new designs? I have a few in mind i'd like to see on some shirts. -Brian
  3. Erik, let me know if you need help. I have almost every tool needed to do almost anything to a sube. What type of work do you need to do? Jeremy, i got cards made up, just gotta distribute them. There's a real sweet EA81 wagon about 1/2 mile from me that will get the 1st one. -Brian
  4. With the idle higher, your timing marks will jump around. Once your idle gets lower, you will notice the timing marks stabilize. Is it cold outside? Time the car at operational temps. Also pull the vacuum advance and plug it before you time it. -Brian
  5. Glad you guys had fun, sure wish I could have made it. Maybe next year i'll be living in that area and wont have to take time off work just to drive up there -Brian
  6. I dont think ive ever seen an Aviation EA81 with the prop in the front, i've always seen gear reduction box's on the rear of the crank, then attatched to the prop. Anyone notice the Sube in the background too? -Brian
  7. Yup, i could use a new sweater too... mind is developing a hole in the elbow & my mother wants one as well. -Brian
  8. Come skiing then, Dave will need someone to ski with. Unless you wanna try your hand at some Snowboarding -Brian
  9. If a weber is properly tuned it should beat any Hitachi. But a good Hitachi will beat a poorly tuned weber. The Hitachi on my wagon is bullet proof. I can let the car sit for 3 weeks, with a 1/2 dead batter, and before the 4th stroke, the EA81 is idling. But the hitachi in my Brat is a different story. -Brian
  10. Look under your car, near the gas tank. Either on the drivers or passenger side. Not sure what side its on in a EA82, but you cant miss it. It'll be next to the fuel filters. -Brian
  11. hope you gave him the URL for the board. -Brian
  12. yeah, i followed him from Eugene to Sacramento, and lil roo did a great job. Im amazed at how many trips ive taken my lifted EA81 wagon on. 1 round trip from Sacramento to Seattle and back, then another trip from Sacramento to Eugene and back. Not to mention all the trips I take to the woods. -Brian
  13. Definatly. Keep an eye out for some deals as well. I have a bunch of brochures and coupons I got from the Outdoor show here. A bunch of promotional stuff on tahoe, reno and the resorts in those area's. -Brian
  14. Rooinator is going to be on his way to AZ in the beginning of January, and we're thinking of heading to the hills and doing some boarding. I know there are a couple of you down S.J. that wanna board, so lets see what we can figure out. Prolly early January, exact dates are unknown until Jared finds out when he has leave until. -Brian
  15. Its easiest to just grease the CV shaft, and make sure its lined up propperly. If you dont catch it on the bearing spacer, the shaft should slide through enough to pull through. Sometimes you have to help the shaft through by tapping the steering knuckle and the CV shaft should pop through. Enough to be pulled with the bolt. -Brian
  16. Yeah, a shaking wheel is a common sign of a failing CV. And usually the final signs before they sieze on you. You can tell if its a CV when it feels like the wheel is being jerked from your hands, instead of just a tire wobbling. It will get more severe when it goes, and I wouldnt recommend traveling at 100mph+ when it does. -Brian
  17. Look at it in a mirror. This one too: TIHZTA3 -Brian
  18. The part numbers are all the same, the reason why I say use RX Pads is because there is almost no way the idiot behind the counter will get your rear drum pads instead, as the RX never came with drums. -Brian
  19. The same goes for you Dave Let me know and i can meet you up there I had a blast at donner last year. It was the 1st time ive boarded in over 2 years. -Brian
  20. My rack was custom made by Soobme. I had to prime it and coat it. Its top notch, one of the best rack's ive ever seen. And fully functional -Brian
  21. Cool... just let me know. Hell, if anything we could hit the ORV Park near me. There's one about 20 minutes away, perfect for a mid-day trip before dinner. -Brian
  22. I always ask for 1987 Subaru RX Rear Disc Pads. Because all the parts are the same, but the RX is the only model that came with ONLY rear disk brakes. -Brian
  23. Dude! If you stopped down here, we'd DEFINATLY hit the hills! Let me know for sure. Wednesdays are best for me. -Brian
  24. Lets try to plan something for January. Trooper... hit me up when your on your way to the slopes. My snowboard bug has bitten me! -Brian
  25. Herculined roof??? I think your on to something! Great idea! I wouldnt strap stuff directly to the roof tho, it really doesnt support much wieght. Now THIS will support some wieght! Its hurculined, and i can sit in it. I think it'll support alittle more than just the roof. -Brian
