Big thanks to Subaru3!
TheSubaruJunkie replied to Adam N.D.J.'s topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Fedex sucks. I was told my bumper would be here on Friday 10/10, but it didnt arive until Tuesday 10/14. Then the guy dropped it off, didnt make me sign anything, and just left. Then about 15min later another guy from Fedex came by, asking if I recieved my package. When I answered, I asked why and he said "just making sure he's delivering packages and not just leaving them behind." Makes me think twice about using Fedex again. Rack looks good tho -Brian -
I hope its not me Rob Ive pissed some people off in the past when I sold stuff on the board. Mostly my own stupid procrastination got me in trouble. Except for the problem i had with Corky (still feel bad about that). I try not to do business on the board much anymore, cause everyone here is my friend, and I hate screwing my friends. As far as buying from others, i have delt with alot of people and everyone ive delt with has been top notch. A few on my list of good are: Chef_Tim Edrach (four stars for Ed, he's the MAN!) Bearugardhooligan (or however you spell it) and recently added to my list is Clantieri cause he sent me a new bumper for my Brat which i got today! There are some others, and i thank you all. There has only been a few people ive heard of that are sour. If you end up getting a raw deal with a board member, it might be a good idea to PM the moderators. -Brian

No map lights on a EA81. Naw, i will run a single hot wire to a post strip that will support all my accessories. The light wiring (only 3 wires) will run in from the rear drivers side window, and be tucked into the b-pillar. Then I will run the cable to the switches between the seats. K.I.S.S. No need to drill holes, or run 30' of cable. Besides, ANYBODY who sticks their hand outside of the car to grab ahold of something will be banned from going off-road in my car again. The last thing i need to do is drive someone to the hospital cause their hand was cut off when my car rolled ontop of it. Plus, there are plenty of "MY GOD BRIAN! WATCH OUT!" handles all over the inside of my car. -Brian

Put the final coat on, touched up some stuff, coated the mounting brackets and mounted 2 more sets of lights up front. Then mounted it to the wagon. Looks sweet! Now i need to get the wagon running again so i can show it off 10,000 thanks goes to Tony. More pix here: http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo19 -Brian

Wish my dad loved me enough to fix up a 3dr like that for me. How old is he Ken? My 1st car was a 1600cc '79 GL Wagon, had to work my rump roast off all summer to buy it, then had to work even longer before i could drive it cause i had to save up for my own insurance too. -Brian

Ford Turbo Coupe I/C??????
TheSubaruJunkie replied to Scrub2k's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
It cant be used on your car, might as well sell it to me for $5 and make $5 profit Shouldnt be hard to do. Does it matter which side is the inlet and which side is the outlet? Just attatch one end of the i/c to the turbo, the other end to the intake, make sure its sealed air tight, and press the gas alittle further. Might wanna take care of the autoslushy tranny. -Brian -
Wonder how I'm gonna do it
TheSubaruJunkie replied to PHATBRAT's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
How are the seats. I might be interested in the 2 front seats. is it a GL10, or just a turbo sedan? -Brian -
MAV! How in the hell are ya! See you made it to the new board. Are you back in a sube yet? -Brian

Running different sized tires...
TheSubaruJunkie replied to incognito's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Thanks, that helps alot. I think the hubs would be easier to come buy and easier to ship than the rims, and it should be cheaper than I thought. -Brian -

Running different sized tires...

It wont do much damage, you wont be able to go far. I tried it on pavement with a donut spare on, and i didnt even make it through the intersection before all 4 tires binded together and the car refused to move. I had to lift the front of my car using my pushbar to relieve the pressure on the diff. -Brian -

As long as the car is kept in 2WD, it wont matter how long they are on there. If your curious to what happens, just try it Put the tires on, put it in 4WD, and try to pull out of the drive way. -Brian -
how can i tell if spfi or mpfi
TheSubaruJunkie replied to MaroonDuneDoom's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
The intake plentum should say SPFI or MPFI in large letters ontop. Either that, or look at your engine block. If you have metal tubes leading to Injectors, 2 on each head... then you have MPFI. If there are no injectors in the heads its a SPFI or Carb. -Brian -
$#&^%$@%!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh!!!!

TheSubaruJunkie replied to Skip's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Why is it Skips garage looks like a High School shop class. DAMN SKIP! Is there anything you DONT have??? The pulley idea is a good one Rob. Ive toasted 3 alternators in the last month (on 3 different subes) so its getting agrivating. I can get a new alt for $80, sounds like rebuild parts are close to $50. -Brian
