  1. What kind of patch cable do you need Adam? I might have one. I'll have all the cable needed for my camcorder so we can all enjoy some fresh carnage! -Brian
  2. For this.... The license plate sais DA BRAT. I took this picture a few years ago when i still lived there. Couldnt really hold much of a conversation with him cause we were at a red light that just turned green, and i'm not sure if he spoke english. -Brian
  3. Either that, or put a 13" steel rim back on the car, take a breaker bar, prybar, any type of bar, and stick it through one of the slots on the rim, rotate the rim until the bar catches something and stops the wheel. Then you should be able to break the castle nut off. But since you have everything already, guess its pointless now Not sure if the XT6 arm fits your EA82. -Brian
  4. http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo12 There are some great pix in there. About 113 of them. Thanks syphon. -Brian
  5. Oh, i know. This isnt my 1st trip up there Oregon is great, cant wait... hope my car doesnt leave me stranded. -Brian
  6. I think we're planning on meeting in Rogue River. I looked up a map of where it is, and generated this page: http://www.usmb.net/trip/trip.htm The distance of course, is from Sacramento. Adam, is there somewhere in particular you want to meet. Like a safeway, or chevron or something? -Brian
  7. 1pm on monday sounds like a solid plan. I will also have some video I shot of some trips as well. -Brian
  8. Thanks John. I think General Disorder will be showing up as well. Trying to get Harpua to go, but he probably cant make it. Hopefully i will be able to make it. I have to see how much damage the wagon goes through over the weekend. -Brian
  9. My volt meter will hold steady at 12 with the lights on and the A/C fans on. With everything off, it will get up to 14 and stay there. At idle, 900rpm-1200rpm, it will be around 10 or 11. No more time for troubleshooting. Im going on a 800 mile round trip to Oregon and back in less than 2 days. I have to do an oil change, change the gear oil in the tranny, pack, shop, then drive 5 hours for a camping trip. Lets just hope this alternator doesnt freak out, and the battery stays good. -Brian
  10. Hey john. A little tip for the gallery. If you zip all your pictures into one .zip file, you can upload that single .zip file, and the gallery will uncompress them on the server and organize them all. Saves time when you have a few pictures to add, and your on a dialup connection. the pix look great. -Brian
  11. EA82 Dome lights are the same size as modern levi jean pockets... just an odd coincedence -Brian
  12. I remember when you posted the question last year Basher. We'll let todds down lightly. I think the only people who has blueprints of a solid and tested true lift kit are BYB and PK Davis. John (mudrat) knows how to lift sube's, and he could probably build a lift for you. As far as blueprints, you'll probably need to make some yourself. Its not that difficult to lift a sube, its manufacturing the blocks. -Brian

  14. I havent added it yet, gimme a couple minutes. -Brian
  15. Do you mind if I mirror that link and use the USMB gallery to sort and resize each pic? -Brian
  16. Is that the trip I was on Caleb? -Brian
  17. Any pix!? That sounds like fun. -Brian
  18. Thats good to hear. As long as there is no major body damage, or engine damage you should be good. Stereo's can be replaced. A complete set of those rims might be alittle harder. My brat was stolen once in Alaska. I couldnt sleep for days. I was worried because it wasnt registered, and it had no exhaust. It was also the middle of winter, and I knew if they didnt know how to drive it, they would wreck it. We found it 3 days later abandoned a few blocks away from my friends, where it was stolen from. The driver must have been drunk and tried to drive it through a 3' snowburm, or lost control through the corner. Nothing was stolen, not even my amp that was sitting in the passenger floor. But whoever did it took off with my toolbox. Oh... and ive been in Longview a couple times. You'll probably never find the people who did it. -Brian
  19. When the alt was in my brat, i did notice it would move when the blinkers were on. And if the AC Fans were on or not. I redid most of the main wiring for the positive and the negative, replaced the alt (with another used one I had) and replacing the battery with another one. I need to go over the wiring for my stereo and make sure its grounded correctly. Then take the car for a test drive. I have aprox. 28 hours until I leave for a road trip to Oregon. Dont watn my car dying on the way. -Brian
  20. Woah. Im not going to read all of that. What the doc said was enough for me to state my opnion. I havent owned any EJ series subaru's, but ive been around Subaru's long enough to know a thing or two. The one question I want to ask is, when was the last time Honda, Acura, or Lexus released a production race car like Subaru has done with the STi. The only other honda's i hear about are "type R" or some crap like that and its usually a civic with a 4" exhaust and a shiney intake. And Subaru is not just a nitch cars. They created and pionered the AWD passenger vehicle class. in '74 when they implimented 4WD, the only other option was a small toyota truck or some chevy. If I recall, there were plenty of AWD passenger cars that tried to compete with Subaru. Honda being one of them with that SORRY excuse for a 4WD Wagon. The Toyota Tercel tried and did well, but failed with the SR5 4WD Wagon. Nowadays we have Volvo, Saab, Audi, oh and dont forget Mitsubishi. So i think we have reason to compare our subie's to your wide selection of overpriced imports. -Brian
  21. http://www.wheels-and-rims.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/car-wheels.html?wheel_id=4936&sid=8LpJDk0mJ7k91V--06103260190.aa There is also a wheel guide on the net somewhere for our Car's. I believe its on ultimatesubaru.org -Brian
  22. I was under the assumption that if you pull the negative from a running car, it will remain running if the Alternator is putting out power. Can you explain a ground loop to me pls. im electronicly stupid unless it's a computer. -Brian
  23. My '84 GL Wagon's alternator had a bad voltage regulator, so i put the alternator from my brat into the wagon. Today after driving the car for 2 hours and parking it, i went to start it and it started right up but... the voltmeter jumped to about 14 volts, then dropped to below 10volts. all the dash lights came on and i tested it and the car dies when the Negative is pulled. What would cause this? I wired my Stereo, CB and Amp the other day. Wondering if maybe my wiring is bad?? All 3 items are running off the same lead comming straight from the battery. Then they are grounded to the chassi. I pulled the lead from the battery after it blew. Wondering if I should re-wire it all. -Brian
  24. I'll talk to John and see what he thinks. I know he's going to be busy in his shop on monday, so im not sure if he's going to want to drive toward bend after work. Message me with your TN# (cell if you have one) and i'll keep it on my phone so I can call you when im up there. -Brian
