  5. This should really be in the meet and greet forum... oh wait, it is! Just wanted to let everyone know there is a Subaru Camping trip and off-road adventure being hosted by Adam_NDJ on Sept 18th until Sunday Sept 21st. I will be leaving Sacramento and ariving in the Medford/Grants Pass area either Wednesday the 16th or Thursday the 17th. I will have 1 spare seat in my Wagon, and there might be some more spare seats if stock rigs want to go along with us. For all the details, see this thread here: http://usmb.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?threadid=1772 Hope to see more USMB members going. -Brian

  12. Go find a brat shell in a junk yard. Dip the entire frame and body in a vat of line-x. Cut the fenders, mount some pug's with some fatty tires or do the 6 lug conversion. Use the EA81 with the crappy carb and there you go. -Brian
  13. Here's da pix! http://usmb.net/gallery/albun95 Including a few pix of a lifted Mercedes Benz Wagon. -Brian
  14. If anything, there will be plenty of pictures and video of the rig after the camping trip. -Brian

  18. Marnix... Im in california. Quite a way from Texas. Bring some rare subie bits from your land, and I'll drive to meet ya -Brian
  19. I had problems when i installed mine on my '83 GL. The tube was long enough, i ran it under the engine, then up to the firewall and came through with some heater pipes or AC lines or something. The problem I had, was running the line. It kept melting from the exhaust, and if that line melts, you develop a very bad oil leak. The 1984 GL I bought already had it ran and installed, and they did a real good job. But it was done 4 or 5 years ago, and the line was hard and crusty. I went to remove my stereo one day, and had to remove the oil gauge. The line snapped and i couldnt get anything to reconnect it. Try to get one with a long tube. The one i got was something like 6' long or 5', but it wasnt long enough. -Brian
  20. Is the trip next weekend!?!?!?!? HOLY FAJOLY!!! -Brian

  22. Yeah, i cant get ahold of Cameron. But i dont think he'd mind if we at least linked to that on the USRM. Mick also has some good information regarding Weber installation. Pix are already on the USRM. -Brian
  23. Thanks... thats what i was lookin for -Brian
  24. Im gonna have to wait a week to get my CB. Hope to have it wired before the trip. If not, i'll have it in a box and can wire it when I get there. Tony, do you have any tips for tuning an antenna for a CB? I have a 42" whip in the garage, and want to mount it to the center of my wagon. Heard thats the best place. -Brian
  25. I stand corrected Well said Trogdor. If your fixing it to sell it, try to find a EA82 with an auto that is newer. Say 87 or something. And find one thats in the yard from a wreck. -Brian
