  1. It's about sharing Imp offroading ideas. The idea is you post what you have done to your imp... If you have one.
  2. Cheers, that was a fun day out but I was still learning how to drive in sand, so it wasn't anything too extreme. Plus my bro and his mate were very worried at some points, but that's because it was really there first time doing real offroading. Although on this night, everyone was cheering me on into the mud we all knew I'd get stuck in! haha, the fun. Thanks again
  3. Have a look down this page a bit.. http://webmaster.beverleypaine.com/subaru_car_audio.html The only problem is on the drivers side the window winder got in the way of the box (I wasn't careful enough...)
  4. Sorry, Aussie speak... yeah "flip flops" hahah
  5. The green is plant matter, and the black is rotten plant matter. It's a river bed so it is really gooie. It was funny because one of the guys who was with us only had thongs on... Slimey
  6. I just read somewhere else that it is 54mm... so I guess somewhere around 50 to 60.. lol.
  7. I wrote up a little trip report on my site, I'd move it all over here, but it's easier if you just follow the link. Subaru Brumby and EA81 wagon at the Murray mouth Now I have some cleaning to do, gotta get that salty sand off my car... It was a load of fun, and I think something in my car is going to brack before the week is over, lol.. So many noises. I did get video, but you can't see anything in it. I might try and get a MP3 of the audio on my site, just for a laugh.
  8. Yeah, I saw some bits that the stock subie didn't do in the vid. I like that part where you go sideways jibs, almost out of control. Last night I was in some dunes and noticed my dual carbs cut out while getting air under the front wheels. I guess they don't like the fuel in the float chamber to fly around too much... Yeah, musics not bad either

    lift completed

We (A mate, my bro and I) put a lift on a 88 wagon in just under 11 hours. But we only had the alloy blocks cut, front sturt extensions made, steering extension, and diff hanger modded. So we had to drill, weld, and figure out all those other bits that are to do with a lift. I can see it would take a lot longer for 1 person, as there were at least 3 times we needed all 3 of us pulling and pushing on suspension components. Well done, looking good
  10. I like it how the stocker just follows along no worries. heh.
  11. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=12316&cat=500&ppuser=96 You like black cars don't you.... :-p:drunk:
  12. I love it when my car makes that noise, esp since it's got a open 2" pipe and the twin carbies. Fluttering, popping, stuttering noise.. love it. Take it off, you prolly wont notice it gone.
  13. Interesting.. Everyone on the aussie forum says it's a must. You can't go without changing all the fuel lines... Then again, they are a bit like that. Over the top if you get what I'm saying. I've heard of some idling problems with SPFI on a EA81, anyone had this on a carbed EA82 conversion, what was the problem?
  14. Most likely the temp sensor in the radiator(I think thats where it is..) died and the previus owner just wired the relay cable to the negative of the battery.
  15. Is there any issues with the fuel return line like I hear with putting the EA82t in a carbed car?
  16. Different subs varie a lot. When you get a sub, you can make sure to get one that doesn't need much area. Also, if your buying good brand audio you most likely won't need/want a port in the box. It's all about the research and getting exatlly what you want and need. On the box of your sub(s) it will tell you the arrangement that the subs require, how much cubed space, port or no port, ect. If you haven't bought it all yet, it is also a great idea to talk to the sales guys at a car audio shop about what you want, and how you want it in your car. I do agree with the bigger gauge wire, this will allow the subs to have that hit of power when they need it, instead of "stalling". Although the cap should take care of that a bit.
  17. WOW... finally quads (ATV's) have a purpose!
  18. Make sure each speaker/sub has it's own enclosure. They can all be in the same box, just put deviders in the box. Also there is this great fluffy stuff they put in boxes (dunno what it is really called, and haven't got any for my sub box yet) but it makes it sound so much better. Oh, also heres what I done in my Brat. Lost 2 clicks on the seat position, but feels good. http://webmaster.beverleypaine.com/images/subbox.jpg
  19. I was reading page one thru two and thinking... This all seems old... Then I saw the 2004 date on all the posts... it is old So WJM, going for that 300hp? I want to see it!!
  20. I was thinking more along the lines of fully disengaging the clutch. So the pedel doesn't push it at all. Obviouslly the throwout bearing is pushing on the fingers a little bit (other wise it wouldn't be making the noise right? Because it wouldn't be spinning.) I thought it might be a throwout bearing because it sounds like a dry bearing noise, not a oily damaged bearing. I'll have a look at it again today (it's only a project car so it doesn't get much attention.)
  21. It's all crazy... At least you will know that your getting something close to 27" big...
  22. This would be ture, but for the fact Kumho lable there tires wrongly. They are really only 26.5" which makes them closest to 205/75R14's...
