  1. found his pic in his album.. i'm thinking of doing that with my justy.just to get the speakers out of the dash.
  2. you could try going to the j/y and try and find a subie that matches yours and just unbolt the whole thing(just the shock and mounts, not the hatch) or find a broom stick to use to hold up the hatch instead of fixing:D
  3. well one,so far... can't say which one.someone might call the aspca...j/k it would of been the dogs fault anyway
  4. why can't i figure out what part your talking about.only thing that i can think of that has a ball socket near the hatch is the hatch lift supports(you know those things that hold the hatch up) one of mine keeps popping off if i lift it up to much.i gotta replace em,cause one of these days it's gonna fall on my head
  5. well if it was a 5spd,it'd be towards the back of the trans(next to the rear output shaft) my input shaft bearing needs replacing,i'll probably just replace trans seeing that i have a spare one from when i bought the legacy.
  6. but some of those are what makes driving a justy fun...Attempting remember the back seats do fold down and...
  7. wasn't there a time awhile back when the impreza held the world record for the fastest production automobile.i think it was back in the early 90's. i may be wrong but i could of sworn, cause i remember rubbing it in to some of the subie haters i used to work with. i think it was at the salt flats? (or i could be completely wrong, who knows.gonna have to do a search now) edited to add link http://www.subaru-global.com/about/history/1998-001.html#subhead-001 (270.532 km/h,what ever that means in mph)
  8. any trails at the state forest?? (you know which type:brow: ) only reason i ask is to know if i should bring the legacy or the pip-squeak(justy):-p
  9. ain't that the truth.my justy has manual and i have to get used to taking corners slower then i would if i was driving my legacy. i may have to either look into something like the quickner or something.granted it's not as squirly at highway speeds like the legacy is. (real scary when you barely touch the wheel and it feels like it's all over the place)
  10. cool,i'm sure alot of us like to eat ok kind of a silly question for yah, when you say "witch city"-are you talking about salem mass? i am thinking correctly right?
  11. sounds good too. don't you have alot of room(land) around your house or am i thinking of someone else? anyone else thinking.....BBQ:brow:
  12. no selling of the justy(keep it)sell turismo. i had same problems getting the same parts(wires/dist cap/and even air filter had to be ordered)they did have my plugs and rotor though.i need to replace my gas filter(which probably gonna need to be ordered) so how about a pic of your justy??
  13. oh yah... in my old driveway,i pulled in just the wrong way with my stock height legacy and SLAM,put a nice dent in my oil pan that created a leak.it had two spots were it looked like the ground was sinking and created a hump smack dab in the center of it so anytime someone would pull in,in the center you'd always hear scraping of bumpers(no matter how slow you went, dang cheap a^& landlord wouldn't have the driveway fixed.it was all broken up which made the 60feet really hard to shovel in the winter) BTW-awesome outback, again
  14. eiyapet-i just bought a 94 justy dl and did a tune-up on mine(plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter) and mine has rough idle when warmed up.i talked to a friend of mine that works on subarus(very knowledgable)he told me that a little rough idle was normal cause of the fact that they only have three cylinders,so there's not much spinning mass to be balanced. that's what i've been told.he did say that i could adjust the idle up a bit so that it'll smooth out but he wasn't sure how to do it. i picked mine up for a steal $175.very small amount of rust on the front fenders (just in front of tires, normal rust out spot) and some seams (seats) that are torn. oh and the odometer says less then 75,000 miles on her. (click on pic)
  15. this is a brat-aka-a ute (that's what they're called over in Australia) the brats aren't available new anymore, closet subaru now a days would be the baja.i'm sure you can pick up a brat in good condition.
  16. yup, justys are cool... monster engine subaruchick06-welcome aboard
  17. not the best but,it's what mine would look like if converted to justy-brat
  18. Dang,it looks real good. so how low is it sitting? (looks like 2-3 inches)
  19. right now, this is the closest my legacy has been to off-roading.it was on a dirt road that goes through a preservation.there's dirt bike/atv allowed onto the trails but they had bolders placed in a way that only they could get through(some reason they didn't want any cars out there) this is the same place where i used to off-road my gl wagon 5spd d/r. i'd go there every weekend until the time that a army chopper hovered over my every movement.i wondered why they did that till someone told me that alot of people used to grow weed up there.(so maybe it was ATF) i do plan on off-roading it sometime soon.
  20. well one of the things i've learned to watch out for is oil leaks and oil pump.if you test drive it,first check the oil level then when your driving it watch for the oil light.if it comes on,more then likely it's gonna need a oil pump(maybe/maybe not) as far as me recommending one....i love mine!! (i've always wanted one) i'd say go for it,it's only $75 bucks.if it turns out that it's not what you like then you can turn around and get your money back easy enough.i paid more then twice that(but mine has very low milage)
  21. i know, could you imagine going 110 in a justy.....who knows it might be fun
  22. ever since i had my aftermarket muffler put on,i can't count how many times i've done 4-5 grand rpm shifts.(specially when the silencer's off the muffler) only prob with doing high rev shifts while in the city is that by the time i've gotten to third gear i'm doing around 70-80 mph (only do that when there's noone else around)
  23. not to be but i just got back from driving the justy to the gas station and my mechanic and i gotta say........IT WAS A BLAST!!! can't believe the get up an go it had.only prob was that dang shift light kept coming on trying to tell me when to shift.
  24. so,what's the scoop??? have you joined the justy crew yet??
