It is very possible there is a flying cover that is usually missing on the bottom of the trans bell housing an the flywheel is exposed. So if I rock is thrown in the area will shoot up and land in various area's till it drops out somehow! I would give it a few WOT runs then some normal hilly driving. See if it does it again. If not have no worries!

Should pull nicely when running with no vacuum leaks, on my car I have the same setup except 440's, and I am running completely stock exhaust and both resonators in place. The power is intermitent doesn't always pull perfectly. although I was told i might have low compression in my motor so doing a motor swap Regardless for the while it was working good, it pulled like hell on the highway was very good too. I think the IC has a speed rating though. After so much speed it is like hitting a brick wall if I understand correctly.

Pretty good price at a dealer right?! Id do it real pain in the rump roast. On my last car got the dealer to do it, they did a awesome job. On my turbo sedan tried it. I have no clue how I even got out the whole plastic cover around the cluster. I must have bent it so far it was crazy. Also try hitting the dash board they usually start working for a while.

Interesting. My old 93 legacy N/A had 330k + and it was overheated many times when the waterpump was leaking like hit H and engine started bogging. For a good week drove like that. Then put stop leak in that car, clogged up the entire system and still kept driving overheating. Then eventually got the pump, and belt replaced, and just flushed everything else. 3+years driving 250 to the 330k NO issues with overheating never touched anything had original rad cap, thermostat etc. I would suspect a bad rad though with your car. The cores could clog and when a couple cores clog I don't think it is that easy to unclog. I would just get a used rad to test things.

You know what I think I am wrong you only have traction control which will do nothing you can't do by simply letting off the throttle. http://www.cars101.com/subaru/outback/outback2008.html Traction control just makes sure the wheels don't spin but you can still roll and spin out LOL VDC does it all though!

Well your car has VDC I believe. Which will prevent the car from sliding sideways for example or spinning out. It does this by applying brakes to certain wheels. It does work and will save your rump roast. Try playing around with it in a parking lot. Although are you saying with it off it is still operating? Or you are just asking in general whether to leave it on because it sounds like you should leave it on the way you drive. It won't hurt saving your life and possibly others really.

It will fit just the rad needs to go closer to the front. -
Ya but I am using my computer to read the temperature coming from the engine and I can see the temperature of the engine is not coming down sometimes. Sometimes fans come on and stay at 200F and wont drop to 190F like it should. Unless that is how it tells the fans to run and it inputs the tranny and engine temp together?! If it matters tranny is slipping noticeably in some gears on and off, no awd, and winning. Tranny will be changed ASAP though.

at 1800rpm with everything on its 13.5v. at idle with everything off it can do around 13v. Today fans didn't cycle at all temps stay in the 200's. Today it was from a freezing cold start. Is it possible the headgasket leaks EVER so slightly when cold?? Also the rad cap sort of has suction when you open it what does that tell me?
