  1. Here is the Imposter. For the rest of the pics check out my Album
  2. Here's a link from one of the numerous gear ratio posts. post There's more info on this. Do a search for gear ratios in all open forums. 1+pages of responses.
  3. There shouldn't be unless it is a FT4WD or from an RX. If it is it will have a 3.70 final ratio. The gear to gear ratio's are different. 1st gear is similar and they basically fill the gaps between the rest of the gears.
  4. Mike, and everyone else, yes, they fit. Not to a tee but they fit good enough to not have a problem with it. Mine got "treated" and is quite slippery. I installed a cargo net also to keep the little things from flying around. Check it out next time you're down Mike.
  5. This is also an excellent site for the Legacy owner. Legacy Central
  6. Sorry but no. She is just starting to know who everyone is. It will take a bit longer for her to learn the cars as well. I'm just real happy that she comes along and watches and wants to take pics. And she is even learning how to drive the Suburban/trailer combo. Good thing too. I was real tired after running two events and not getting much sleep the night before(I hate sleeping in hotels) so she drove home from the Washington side of the border.
  7. The hinges are very easy to replace. They consist of two stamped steel arms. One on each side. They are held on with two bolts on the hood and one bolt under the cowling cover. Remove the cover and remove the single bolt from each side and slip them out. Removal of the hood first will make it much easier.
  8. Here's what our pits looked like.
  9. My wife was taking pics. Unfortunately I forgot to recharge the batteries so we didn't get alot. Not quite the 50 footers that Paul was shooting but not bad.
  10. Thanks, I used a 4 1/2" grinder with cut-off wheels. Dremel tool to clean everything up.
  11. Hitachi distributors have a drain hole in them. As long as it isn't plugged you'll get all the air needed from there. There is supposed to be a rubber gasket that seals the cap anyway.
  12. Hey Todd, they are kind of scattered. Most of the time we were a little busy driving. But the video is getting close to completion. Get ahold of Eric and he'll get you taken care of. Ken
  13. Heres my Brat with a scoop from a Mustang II. Hood vents I did mine this way for a couple of reasons. First and formost was to relieve heat in the engine compartment while we were in the Sierra's this summer.
  14. I moved you to new gen for more exposure to the right people for your question. You can also try this forum for answers. Legacy Central
  15. Check the guy on 6th. I have seen him as well. Very quick and knows how to make 'em pass, legally.
  16. The lights themselves are the same. The difference is in the mounting bucket. If yours didn't get damaged you can swap it. Caleb does indeed like the newer markers. He got all of mine.
  17. This is indeed a sad day in many peoples lives. Jason will be missed by many. My condolences to his family. This ones for you Jason! Ken and Family
  18. The only problem with using NOs is that it is short lived, a little expensive and can be very destructive. But other than that it works for racing but would be less than desirable off road unless it can be dialed down for shorter bursts.
  19. Hmmm, Interesting idea. It would provide more power as all injection will to some point. I personally think it would be alot of work for limited gain. A fresh motor with a mild cam and a new Weber will provide years and miles of care free service. Arch, I understand, but, the Weber is the way to go. Almost everyone of my club member's is running a trouble free Weber. And the power added from them is indeed very noticable. Most feel like they add 10-30% more power. My set up would be a little much for a daily driver but seems to be reliable all the same. I have built two different versions, one is estimated at 150hp. It runs well but provided limited torque at low end. The second is estmated at 12-130hp. It has super low end torque. Most people who ride in it very impressed with the power available. Like driving without 28's.
  20. That is usually the sign that the solders are failing. They can be resoldered by a few board members. Also, try turning off the headlights and see if it gets brighter.
  21. Sounds like it could be the vapor recovery tube. Don't know how difficult it would be to replace.
  22. Tom, here's a couple of thoughts. Check the main harness that goes to the motor. Also check the plug for the disty. It may not have a harness plug but rather just run to the disributor. Look for a loose connection and the fuses as per Skipper. I have never had any problems with Weber installs so it should just be something small. Maybe even a pinched wire somewhere. Do you have the EGR plated off or is the valve still over the hole? You will need to have that covered one way or another. Good luck.
  23. Nope, it's open.
