  1. 40mph in a school zone?.. string his rump roast up from the nearest light pole. Did the cops nail him for reckless endangerment or anything like that?
  2. Bummer. Glad you guys are all in one piece.
  3. Hmm.. this tranny swap doesn't look to be much harder that it is on an old school soob. That makes all those Auto Turbo Legacies out there a little more attractive.. My 87 used to be an auto.. I like it much better as a manual.. Time to try it with a legacy now:D
  4. Any error codes? Mine did that when my EGR was on the fritz. still does it, but not as badly
  5. Guess I should have waited to get my pug spare.. could have goten it for $7! Maybe I will buy those 2 pug alloys I was talking about yesterday.. I think they only charge 6-7 bucks for a bare alloy wheel.. at half price, I can't go wrong!.. Of course I would have to cut the tires off:eek: Anyone have a suggestion as to the best way to dismount a tire in a wrecking yard setting?
  6. I dunno man.. the best deal I found when I got mine was $170... sometimes you just gotta bustout the bucks:(
  7. they were wheels, not hubcaps. They were off the 505 I got my full sized spare from. I think that steve, mike and I will be headed that direction again soon. I will try to get some pics.
  8. Last weekend I saw some pug wheels that aren't on the wheels page... They were sorta similar to these (15's) but they were 14's..anyone else seen these? if not, I will try to get down there and get some pics for the wheels page.
  9. I don't want to start trouble, But if a board member is involved in crappy business practices, I for one, want to be aware of it so I can be sure to avoid that person. This is not a reflection on the above stated deal. I can't have an informed opinion on it as I don't have a lot of facts, But censoring, in my opinion will only cause more general suspicion of everyone.
  10. That thing about rudty buugs is true. A friend of mine has one.. lets just say she isn't the most observant person in the world.. One day she was diving along and the car quit.. no apparent reason. The floorboard under the battery had rusted out and the battery was dragging under the car, dangling by its cables!
  11. And if you are just replacing the glass, they are super easy to get in/out.. only takes about ten minutes start to finish
  12. ... My wife says the same thing.. Could be they're right.. could also be that they are jealous because they don't have a GL-10
  13. Skip .. you gotta stop waving all that stuff around man.. You're makin my car jealous.. afraid she's gonna up and die on me if I don't mod the hell out of her like you did!
  14. Heres an original saab 92
  15. GM owns 20% of FHI(subaru car division).. Saab suffered for a few years after it was.. uhhh.. assimilated, but it seems to be doing ok now
  16. Its sort of an impreza... basically its a small saab with an impreza drivetrain.. 2.0t AWD should be a nice addition to the saab line.. I have a cople of concept pics around here somewhere.I will try to find them
  17. I have used Japanese replacment engines in a few cars in shops I have worked at. Only ever had one come back to me.. developed a rod knock after about 2500 miles.(customer had the oil changed at jiffy lube.. go figure). The worst part about it was having to remove all the sensors, intake and exhaust manifold(this was on nissan engines) those parts were completely different.. but still in all i have had good experiences with the import motors.
  18. Sooo. Uhh. what would be more reasonable? $10k? hmm I have about $600 invested in my soob.. I personally think that $100 would be reasonable.. doubt they'll give me a set of trax for that much.. guess I will have to stick with my pugs:rolleyes:
  19. Thats funny! Ken.. they're on to you..
  20. well. you might want to check your soob factory resources for flaws.. loyale didn't come outuntil 90, and there is no such beast as a "loyale GL-10"
  21. Before replacing it, try cleaning the contacts.. they can get all icky .. are you getting any error codes from your ecu?.. last time my temp sensor got so gross that it affected running, It gave me an error code.. but that isn't always the case
  22. Yes, its an options package.. For EA82s it meant -better front seats with height adjustment -black trim (door handles and such) on 4wd models -slightly larger tires(this one never gets mentioned, but it says so in my owners manual) -digidash -sun roof -rear head rests(in wagons, at least) -lots were turbo, but not all Oh hell, I know theres more, but my brain just turned off.. someone else will have to complete the list.. I have learned that when the brain turns off, its time to stop typing
  23. Do a search on the board for wheels.. this has all been covered twice a week for the past 5 years... One thing that hasn't come up very often is that there is a guy in seattle that has made a set of adapters for peugeots. these adapters allow one to bolt on honda wheel(5 lug).. they were very expensive, he wanted $75 just to test them out, and would absolutely not give the secrets away to soob owners.. I found all this out because I happened to own a peugeot at the time So do a search and come back here to report your findings.. then sell your acura wheels and get some pugs:D
