will an ej turbo work on a ea
I have at least one here. I think I have another at the office. I'll go in there tonight, pull it and see which one looks better. Both were pulled from running cars.

will an ej turbo work on a ea
Just remembered. I have a couple EA series turbos laying around. Interested?

EJ25 gauge install
For the temp, I put a T in one of the heater hoses, a threaded insert in the top part of the T allows just enough room for the probe to get into the flow of coolant without being an obstruction.

the older IHI turbos use the same DP flange as the Mitsus, so you would still need the WRX/legacySS downpipe, or at least the flange. The turbo outlet is larger as well. The uppipe flange.. Man, for the life of me I can't remember if it is the old style or new style. Both are very similar.

86 GL-10 Turbo FWD questions!
water gurgle + stopleak indicates a history of cooling issues. EA82T + cooling issues = high potential for problems You really need to be able drive it - at speed - for a little while. Oregon law no longer allows for test driving of cars?

Which EJ turbo? The older EJ IHI turbos are a bit different than the Mitsu turbos. Any turbo will fit if you want it bad enough. I have a TD04 from a WRX on my EA82. But it required modding the uppipe, a new exhaust and different IC piping (or plenum pipes if you aren't using an IC - which I do not recommend). Some pics of my TD04 project are in my galley, as well as some of Russ' TD04 pics. Oh yeah... Moving to retrofitting.

Tail lights and rear Fog light
My peugeot had rear fogs as well. It was simply another tail light that did not light up with the brakes. IMO, I would use the dual reverse option and just drive around with your lights on.

Poll: High compression turbo life
Since the EA82T pistons are massively dished, I'm gonna bet theres a way to make it happen.

Custom Shift Knob Ideas
Quite easily. Lugnut steel > shifter steel. Took just a couple minutes. Words quite often spoken in the same sentence. And with good reason.

Full Time 4WD?
The correct generalized answer is 1987

Custom Shift Knob Ideas
Heres mine: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/82Picture_106.jpg Keep in miind that a WRX shift knob will work. And you can thread it down about an inch lower than stock with just a little work. I used a lug nut to cut the stock threads down the the point that the shifter flares out. Combined with the lower profile, it sits just perfectly.

ea82 in 78 brat??
We put an EA82T in a 78 Brat. Didn't cut the frame rails. Simply repositioned the motor a little. If I did it again, I would box the frame rails in. It looks nicer

Loyale Spring Upgrade
My coilovers were for a 2002 WRX. No idea what brand - Ebay special. Yes, they take the place of the stock springs. My current tire size is 205/55/16 - Potenza RE92s. And yup.. theres a 5 lug swap in there somewhere too:)

$1500.00- Is this a good deal? Should I buy it?
calebz replied to 211's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXNot marginal at all.. Completely EJ - Off to new Gen! (I wouldn't buy it for $1500 unless it was an LSi in really good shape)
