  1. Oh yeah.. I had some fun in my $100 Turbowagon. Stupid Valet in Seattle totalled it:( 3 motors later, I am still using the heads The interior is in my current beastwagon. (3 years later) One of austin's friends has the tranny. There are little bits and pieces of that wagon spread all over the country.
  2. Alright boys and girls. The man asked what would have to be done to get a 350 in a brat. Not if he should. "Nice be damned, If you don't have anything useful to say, don't say anything at all" - Author, my mother.
  3. Psstt.. yeah.. you.. Over here... That is a FWD soob in that pic;) With 14 inch pugs even
  4. Cargo space in the wagon, with the seats folded down, is overall bigger than the brat.. I have slept in my wagon once or twice. 4 foot bed in the brat though... hmm.. not feelin it.
  5. Thats Blaster's RX.. its definitely not CF
  6. Depends on who shows up. If its just you and me, I think the three beers in the fridge will do:lol:
  7. I have manuals for 87, 88 and I think 90 GL/Loyale. Perhaps one day if I am feeling industrious, I will tear them apart and scan them.. They are handy to have around.
  8. Not that I know of, but I do have some ferarri ownmers manuals in PDF somewhere here:D
  9. 42mm offset? Your going to have to do more than roll your fenders when you want to lower the car.. Remember those Konig 16s I had on my wagon? tires got tore the eff up.. and that was with my car more than an inch higher than it is now and the rear fenderwells rolled.
  10. Suspension lift isn't really the way to go with one of those cars. Body lift is the ticket. It gives more room for bigger tires, and thats where your ground clearance comes from. There is a whole furum dedicated to offroading here. There are also at least two vendors for subaru lifts here .. Look in the for sale forums for that.
  11. What is the offeset on those.. Might want to check before throwing down any cash. What kind of car is that in the pic?
  12. As I explained in the PM I sent you, the 'honest one' was in the mod queue for OT.. It never made that far and its approval will be based on a group staff decision. Hopefully you can accept that. If not, enjoy your honda.
  13. Good post. Score one for the new guy!
  14. With the recent addition of a few new old school members, there are now nearly twice as many of us as there were a year ago. Would anybody be interested in a shop night in Allen? Don't have the stuff here for any fabrication, but I do have space, tools, some spare parts and a bit of experience. This could be a good chance to meet some people and maybe for some of the newer members to learn a little more about their cars.
  15. That looks like a lot of fun. Now that I have more garage space, maybe I should host something like that. There are at least 3-4 guys in this area I haven't met yet.
  16. I'm thinking it is 98 and up, but yes, the newer ones are interference.
  17. Rubbish. In the 10+ EA82 motors I have had. Ranging from 60 to 200k+, every single one has had belt covers with at least some level of meltage. I do admit that pic is a little extreme, but it could be as simple as a leaky exhaust gasket.
  18. Good luck with that.. There were very few 14 inch 4x140 wheels that actually made it into the US. Peugeot 505 and 504 wheels are you best bet. THey were available in 14 and 15 inch form. 405 wheels will not fit. Also, a lot of the early 80s (pre-85) subaru wheels will not work, as the rub on the brake caliper) Your other options are 5 lug conversion (thats what I did.. I now use 16 inch WRX wheels) Or the 6 lug conversion
  19. Going to send you a PMwith my number. Hoping to have the car back in the next couple days. Had some new IC piping done to it while it was in the shop (this is really weird for me.. I have done almost everything myself on this car) At this point, the list of what I have done with it is a bit long.. Perhaps tonight, I will havre the time to lay it all out. Also, I have some parts you might be interested in.. Struts and stuff
  20. Right on Russ.. I have had 2 distributors crap out on me in the past few years. I have used an SPFI distributor in my 87 T wagon as well:). I think a cool little write up of the procedure would very cool.. What with all that free time you have and all;). I may just do one myself if I get time before you. Is always a good thing to have a spare. Now if you could only fix MAFs:mad:
