  1. I wonder how my wagon would look with those graphics
  2. Looks like an 87 + (same grill mine had beforeI put the RX stuff on there)
  3. A flutter would make me think of a boost leak. But you already checked that. Detonation maybe? And is it 5psi at WOT??
  4. That could be, mine was an original air suspension car as well
  5. Dunno about size difference, but I do know that not every XTT I have seen came with a rear bar. My wagon came with one.. Ony one I have ever seen from the factory like that. But it was a wimpy little 15mm
  6. More specifically, instead of EA82T, look for an RX. They all had them as far as I know, the rest of the EA82T lineup is kinda iffy. Thanks to a board member here.. I have 20mm front and rear on my 87 wagon.. It kicks rump roast
  7. That is really weird . I looked and didn't see any of the cheapo coilovers either:confused: Russ.. were you looking for info about installing them on your RX?
  8. The TD04 I am using came from a WRX. Currently I am at stock boost for a few reaons ranging from boost controller crapping out to the fact that my fuel system is still (mostly) stock. The high compression bit is because of a carb'd shortblock. Side note. The TD04 is one of the most common stock turbos on the market. 1st gen talons/eclipses used them. A whole buttload of volvos used them. Some saabs too I think. I seem to remember that even some of the chysler turbo vans and such used one of the TD04 compressor trims.
  9. Moving to Meet/Greet I understand.. Coming from subaru land (western WA) To a subaru wasteland (TX).. Been trying to organize a get together for months.. You can see how many replies my most recent meet/greet thread has gotten:mad:
  10. A company that meddles in local politics and actively destroys local economies doesn't deserve my business. .I would Rather spend a dollar more for something not quite as good;) See how that works both ways? Back on topic. Nice XT. Needs a bigger turbo though;)
  11. Hmm.. yeah.. Gonna have to say you lost me with that one.
  12. High roll bar. That would leave room for seats in the back and not interfere with t-tops Looks very nice how it is though.
  13. Thats exactly where it is. I never had to destroy any of my Saabs to get the IC out. Maybe I'm just special that way *shrug*
  14. Just remember that Saabs tend to use 9,11,and 13mm a lot, as opposed to the soob standard of 10, 12 and 14mm. And don't break stuff up. thats just weak
  15. 87+ should be at 20btdc on stock.. 18 isn't that much of a difference. I run mine (high compression as well) at 20 with no ping, det or hesitation
  16. Bring it over, I'll see what I can do to help. its an SPFI car right?
  17. The fuel cutoff is controlled by a reference signal from the MAF. Didn't achemitis do something like this? Where is he? Haven't seen him around
  18. When I get around to getting the car off the ground, I'll get pics of the exhaust.. SHould be soon. Y pipe? Not likely any time soon.. I would have to take the IC off to do it, and since its working so nicely, I don't want to mess with it.
  19. You can do that, but you will still need the XT6 control arm:(
  20. All sorts of odd bits, intake tubes, a couple MAFS. some water pipes. a mostly complete EA82T intake manifold pretty messed up.. only really good for sensors or maybe modern art . Might be a stock EA82T downpipe in there. I know there are some axles somewhere as well. theres just boxes and boxes of crap that has moved with me the past few times I have moved. Never got unpacked. Now my car is far enough beyond stock that I can't use most of it. Probably a few interior bits in there as well.. Won't really know too much until I get more of it unpacked. I have those strut/spring setups you wanted too.. but those aren't on the freebie list .. But I'll make you a deal.
  21. The BOV is a Go fast Bits valve. Got it from a board member. Generally I don't recommend venting to the atmosphere, but my stock WRX recirc valve crapped out and this was a good deal.. add to that the fact that I have thus far been too lazy to redisign the recirc routing, and you get 100% ATM. Not sure I have any more pics of the BOV.. Never gave it much thought.. It looks like a BOV *shrug* The piping for the IC is 100% custom. The guy who did it, Made a new y pipe (under the IC), instead of trying to work in the piece of crap the WRX comes stock with. At stock boost, I guarantee it would not disappoint someon looking for an old school turbo legacy. A little more boost and I surprise the occasional WRX owner as well. Oh, and since I forgot, Kudos to Daniel at Jerry's exhaust in Lewisville, TX. He did a spectacular job on the exhaust and IC piping!
  22. I have found something I loke much better than the run of the mil helicoil.. I had 2-3 od my head bolt holes strip when I was prepping my block.. These things are the shiz.. www.timesert.com Drilling the holes (helicoil or timesert) can be easily accomplished without a press if you have a steady hand. I used the timeserts in all 18 head bolt holes. The size and pitch is 11x1.25. The 28mm inserts fit quite well.
  23. Ok.. left side of pic.. just in front of the strut tower.... http://usmb.net/albums/albuo11/Picture_057.jpg silver box with pressure switch attached to it. Is that the part you are referring to? Do you have all the wiring hooked up to that box?.. The vacum lines are not important(as long as they aren't hooked to any vacuum lines on the motor, but it is vital that all the wiring that goes to that box is hooked up. As faras why one ECU works and another doesn't, sounds like the XT ECU is bad. when my ECU fried, that was the first symptom. No fuel, no way no how.
  24. Gonna be? I hear a lot of that from people on the board.. Talk to me when (if) it runns:-p
