  1. If it's vehicle speed dependent and turn dependent....in my mind it's a pretty good bet it's the wheel bearing. You can take the hub off, bring it to a shop, and have them press out & in the new bearing. The axle is not pressed in, it just slides in and out.
  2. Call her. She get's tons of parts request emails a day, and isn't always able to respond right away. If you need assistance right away, call. Here's the parts dept # 1-800-962-0822. Just ask for Jamie.
  3. I don't know of any EDR's in current models. If it becomes part of the OBD3 standard, it probably will be incorporated....other then that, I don't know.
  4. I've had a somewhat similar experience where I accidently moved the selector into reverse. However it was at very low speeds and for a fraction of a second......so I don't think anything really happen.
  5. You may want to post this in the retrofitting forum as well. You may get more responses over there.
  6. I believe this will get directly to her.....(according to their webpage) sales@subarugenuineparts.com https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/contact_us.php
  7. As long as they're both disc brakes & have AWD, the hubs should be 100% interchangable. Axles should be the same as well. Not sure about the wheel. If it's the same size & type....I don't see why you couldn't use it.
  8. That sucks....but you're right....it's probably better to just replace the tranny then try and repair it.
  9. If you don't get any response, shoot me a pm or post the VIN. I've got access to a parts catalog...and can try and look them up.
  10. The problem really sounds like the issues I had with mine when the MAF was going out. I'd also check the wiring going from the MAF to the ECU.
  11. I would venture to say it's lifters....or possibly something related to low oil pressure. I'd definitely remove the oil pump and check that the oil pump backing screws are in-tact, the pressure relief valve is working properly, and that the o-ring sealing the pump & block is good.
  12. There were different springs & struts throughout the first gen legacies. The KYB GR2's do tend to have a 20% stiffer ride then stock.
  13. The ecu's are swappable, however the 92 ECU has the MT/AT identifier pin wired backwards, and the injectors are different which will cause the car to run rich. You can swap the 92 ECU in, and at least see if that fixes your problem. However I'd recommend you use a 90-91 ECU.
  14. I believe it is in front of the passenger strut tower. It measures intake manifold vacuum as well as ambient atmospheric pressure.
  15. Search online....you're going to find more info then asking subaru dealers.
  16. It is probably PAG100. That is what is run in the mid 90's AC systems. You may want to try asking an automotive AC repair shop or look for some documentation in a haynes or service manual.
  17. That code is for the pressure sensor. It means the ECU received a momentary lower then expected voltage signal from the sensor. It's possible it's just a hiccup, and everything's fine, or that the sensor may be on the way out, or something in the wiring is screwy. I'd clear the code, drive the car and see if it comes back. If it does, I'd check the sensor, and the wiring.
  18. If you have a temperature related issue, ie runs fine when cold or hot, but not the other, you may need to replace the coolant temp sensor. You may also have an issue with a spark plug that has a crack in it, and the heat makes it misfire. Same goes for the wires....so those are some things I'd check.
  19. What year EJ25? DOHC or SOHC? Are you looking to do stand alone? You may want to try searching the engine management forum on nasioc http://forums.nasioc.com/forums There may be some additional recommendations, and possibly already tuned maps.
  20. Please search, and/or look at the FAQ sticky in this forum. Information on pulling the codes and what the codes mean are listed in the sticky. Thanks Josh
  21. You can get the heads off without removing the engine, however it is a little tight. Some people prefer to pull the engine since it makes working on the engine that much easier.
  22. I'd suggest checking some of the bigger subaru yards as well. http://www.aaronsautowrecking.com/ http://www.4subarusuzukikiaparts.com/ http://www.superrupair.com/
