  1. Hello everyone, I have a '92 SVX, and just bought cam seals, and a timing belt, and I was just looking for any input before I get started. I have never done a timing belt, or anything this extinsive. I'm really looking forward to all the fun I get to have this weekend. thanks
  2. I run prem. in the SVX, and in the old BRAT. I feel that a few bucks now might save me a few bucks later. OH, and not just discount gas. I like to feed them some Cheveron or SHELL every now and again. Gas is a little cheaper here though. Prem. is at 3.49 at EXXON. I have noticed that the old brat runs better with 92 oct. and have only ran 92 oct. in the SVX.
  3. I put one on my EA-71, and I bought the .8 ohm resistor seperatly. The instructions, said that I would need to use the resistor if I were to use my stock distriburtor. OH, and I have hear that it will fry spark plugs if they are gaped at the stock .045 inches. So I gaped my new plugs at .065 inches. Iknow it's a really big gap, but that blaster 2 coil, throughs a really big hot spark. I would recomend getting some 7.5 or 8 mm plug wires also.
  4. Looks really good, and Ya coat it. I have tried that clear coat in a spray can, and I really didn't like it, but yes I think you should defenantly coat it with something.
  5. My brother went down to the hardware store, and bought a course threaded SAE bolt a little bit bigger that the hole. Then, took a !/2 impact gun and just pounded it in there:lol: Wouldn't recomend it, but it works.
  6. Look really good, nice job. But I can't see the wheels. And that "can" really does sound good on there. Gives that boxer some lub lub lub lub lub lub...
  7. I personally don't have a weber, but I know many how do that run there stock pumps. I was loaned one for about three weeks, and I put it on my old '77 4wd wagon, and that little 1600 would screem, and I even got it to scratch the tires when I nailed third. There are many threads on here about webers, try the search tool on this site.
  8. LOL, this was on mythbusters the egg worked, but I don't know how long it will work. Might wanna carry a dozen with ya on you way to school.
  9. not that I know of, but I believe that you might want to rejet that weber down a bit. (don't know to what though). Webers are great arn't they.
  10. Brothers '84 Gl wagon, had 237,000 when impounded, and I still see it driving aroud, and today I just rolled over 140,000 in the '92 SVX.
  11. Driving the Brat, nobody even messes with me, but the SVX on the other hand... I don't race, but those V-TEC Civics, don't have have nothing on that 3.3. And I was suprised that a slightly moded Talon, would almost keep up at 135. But seriously, I have made promises to no longer take part in any more illegal racing.
  12. Moms 05 legacy was parked in the garage, and sisters stratus was behind it, with a lifted ranger behind the dodge. The ranger was left in gear, and sombody hit the remote start, paniced and kept hitting it. LOL smashed the ford, and dodge up good, but only scratched the bumper of the soob.
  13. I have yet to make it to a WCSS, I will surly make this one, but what to bring, '80 BRAT or the '92 SVX.
  14. Resto? I say it looks beautiful as is, maybe some rubbing compound and a few missing parts, but that's it. VERY nice coupe.
  15. Not really a perfamance improvement, but I've seen a justy around here with smoked tail lenses. Looks pretty good.
  16. Very nice, on both your soobs, and welcome.
  17. Pics, I'm aways from Portland, but I'll keep an eye open...
  18. '80 GL BRAT: odo. says some 80k, but I think it is prolly 280k '92 SVX: Just went through the 5spd. sex change at 137,000:banana: '05 Legeacy: (moms) about 40,000 on it. She's an new born. I know there is more of you out there c'mon... what's the mileage
  19. Had That happen to a friends car, and another ones when I was driving. makes a BAD noise.
