  1. Hahaha, that would rock:headbang: A personalized engine from CCR:-p
  2. Just about everyone here can call you old.....even me:grin: (You asked) Ed is the only one that cant. Dont know about Corky.
  3. Thanks Em, tell Rick he needs to wear a back brace:-p How many miles before its broken in? 500? (I hope). Nipper, I had the heads milled after the first HG failure (due to blowing rad hose on fwy). I took pics of the HG from over boosting and the cylinder ring was deformed from hi-comp. Its blowing oil probably because the rings in that cylinder are almost gone:-\ The thing still runs, I've been using it to ferry my boys around town. It knocks bad until it warms up a little and still has a little go when the turbo spools up.
  4. Maybe 3 or 4ish. PM me your cell #, that way I can call when I get ready to head out.
  5. Oh, geez...I didnt see that till just now:-p I'll find it something to hump when we get to the Show:lol: It likes to straddle the rocks:cool:
  6. I'll be leaving late afternoon Friday.................I hope:rolleyes:
  7. Mine refuses to die. Even with the comp the way it is, once the boost kicks in, it just goes:rolleyes: I wont know how to act when I get the new CCR engine in:headbang: Keep my radar dect turned up for sure:-p Hey Emily, you ship it yet?
  8. I've got a Levi jacket I had when I was 15. Thats....uh....like.....37yrs ago:rolleyes:
  9. Wasnt aware the racks were different. Wasnt positive about the x-member, will find out soon tho. Going to put PS on my Brat.
  10. Your in a bracket all by yourself Spark;)
  11. The 87 would work, but its not designed for your model. Its a bit of a pain to fit in, as its a little wider than the frame rails. The 81 will work, but your getting a engine older than your car. So there might be mileage issues there. Try and find a 83+ from a automatic, it has the hydraulic lifters. Smoother running engine.
  12. Well, I've got a few years to go before I hit the upper brackets:cool:
  13. Buy some tarps. Thats what I plan on doing. Something for under the tent and then one for a cover. I hope to get a spot under a tree, but I havent seen the layout in several years. So if it does decide to get wet, I plan on staying dry.....in camp.
  14. Jack the front end up and see if the tire moves top and bottom. Spinning it you might hear a grinding also. Check the axle nut for tightness, alot of times a previous mech might not have torqued it down enough.
  15. All my fault, I started it:-p Some how, the picture of a mouse with lead balls just got the better of me:rolleyes:
  16. Hmmm, it might be time to panic:-\ It does sound like the tranny could be on its way out. With the grinding (front diff) and it popping out of gear, these are typical symptoms of a bad tranny. I dont know Ebay policy on stuff like this, but if you had a certified mech look at it and would say in writing that the tranny is bad, maybe you could get the guy to give your money back. If you decide to keep the car, you should be able to find another tranny here on the Board.
  17. CV joint. But just for S&G's, check to see if the axle nut is tight. Real tight. How many miles on the car? If its high mileage, then I might consider suspension parts, but I'm sticking with the axle.
  18. Just tell him to wait until his car is around 20yrs old and in the 200Kmi range. We'll see how many problems he has to deal with then:mad: Once the major issues are cleared up, your car should be on a regular maintenance schedule.
