  1. Sure. Right before I sell the car, I'm going to do all the upgrades. That way I wont have time to abuse it:-p
  2. Sturgis is Aug 6-12. This was my original thought a month ago. My boys are going to church camp and it coincides with the Dragon run. I'm just taking advantage of the timing;) I need to get back home after the Dragon tho, as my oldest is going to be heading to Atlanta for a National Martial Arts Competition.
  3. Cant you catch a ride with one of the other N. Cali crew? Isnt Dave coming? Be a mooch, its only for a weekend:-p
  4. I know there were 4wd 4dr models available, but not sure about D/R.
  5. Shipped to my door by CCR. I think it was around $200, but dont quote me on that. Shipping is not cheap, due to the increase in fuel prices. The engine is hanging on the hoist, just waiting to go in. I'm kicking myself pretty good for not ordering that TO bearing. But when your not driving the car, you tend to forget about some of the little things wrong with it. I could throw it in, but I would have to listen to the bearing and I'm not wanting to pull the engine again anytime soon.
  6. I got a wild hair and decided to head out to the annual XT6.net run of the Dragon. Of course I'll be driving the newly aquired 89 XT 4wd I picked up the other week. My route crosses alot of States, so if I'm passing thru I might have a little time to visit before I have to roll again. Google says it will take 39hrs total. So if I leave on the 18th I have 3+days to make it there. Heres my route, if anyone is interested in a quick breakfast, lunch, dinner or even a cup of joe, let me know. http://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=Fontana+Village,+Uninc+Graham+County,+NC&saddr=Bonney+lk+WA.+98391&f=d&hl=en&sll=35.484156,-83.489227&sspn=0.566942,1.277161&ie=UTF8&ll=39.842286,-92.197266&spn=34.028807,81.738281&z=4&om=1
  7. Go ahead and go Spark, I dont think everyone will miss you at WCSS9:-p I know you love road trips:rolleyes: Why dont you follow me to the Dragon next month? Its only to eastern TN:burnout:
  8. See me at the Show, I'll give you a noogie:rolleyes: I would have got it in today, but I screwed up and forgot to order a throwout bearing. Cant get it till tomorrow at 3pm:mad:
  9. Yup, and yup again. I think its time to get busy, burning dry weather, lol.
  10. And just in time too. Thanks Emily and the whole crew at CCR for setting me up. Now its time to go to work:headbang:
  11. Unfortunatly, some crackhead has it. When you get it back (I'm sure you will) make sure you be very careful when going thru the car. Dirty needles and all that bad stuff.
  12. Personaly, I would NOT trust Fram for 5ooomi. Not even 1oomi....
  13. Hey look, green and trees! Got to love Washington State:headbang:
  14. Thats my setup. Theres a frame that bolts to the x-member that holds the motor. Nice to have it at stock level, plus it stays drier going thru deep water. If you fab a sub frame it can bolt to the frame rails on the car. Then you can fab mounts or use existing mounts or both to bolt up the t-case. The front diff has a fabbed mount off the x-member to hold it. Just wait, in a week and half you'll get to see it close up....and in action:headbang:
  15. Check the switch thats on top of the steering column, it might be on.
  16. Man, thats some rough country. Looks like a fun trail for sure!
  17. "Old age and treachery beat out youth and strength"
  18. You got 1/4 of a good score:-p And all that work to get it too:rolleyes: I passed up a pug 14in wheel just laying next to the car last time at the yard. I've got way to many wheels in my yard:-\
  19. Run it, almost all used EA82(T) heads have cracks between the valves. If its really bad, meaning it deforms the valve seat, you need to peen the crack and have the valves relapped or maybe a complete valve job done (to be safe). If the crack is severe, open the exhaust valve enough to see into the chamber(or look from the exhaust port) to see if the crack goes into the port. If so, you might as well toss it, it cost to much to repair.
