  1. Hey look, green and trees! Got to love Washington State:headbang:
  2. Thats my setup. Theres a frame that bolts to the x-member that holds the motor. Nice to have it at stock level, plus it stays drier going thru deep water. If you fab a sub frame it can bolt to the frame rails on the car. Then you can fab mounts or use existing mounts or both to bolt up the t-case. The front diff has a fabbed mount off the x-member to hold it. Just wait, in a week and half you'll get to see it close up....and in action:headbang:
  3. Check the switch thats on top of the steering column, it might be on.
  4. Always thinking ahead, eh?
  5. Man, thats some rough country. Looks like a fun trail for sure!
  6. "Old age and treachery beat out youth and strength"
  7. Well, so far we only have 12 maybe 13. Got quite a ways to go:-\
  8. You got 1/4 of a good score:-p And all that work to get it too:rolleyes: I passed up a pug 14in wheel just laying next to the car last time at the yard. I've got way to many wheels in my yard:-\
  9. Run it, almost all used EA82(T) heads have cracks between the valves. If its really bad, meaning it deforms the valve seat, you need to peen the crack and have the valves relapped or maybe a complete valve job done (to be safe). If the crack is severe, open the exhaust valve enough to see into the chamber(or look from the exhaust port) to see if the crack goes into the port. If so, you might as well toss it, it cost to much to repair.
  10. 95% of the cars I see in the wrecking yard that arent wrecked, have Fram oil filters on them. Thats enough for me. Plus I knew about that report many years ago that mikeshoup posted. Purolator, Wix, or OE.
  11. Thanks for the pics and update. Keep them coming.
  12. Send s'ko a PM, he's in the LA area and might know of someone. Or he might be interested in giving it a shot himself.
  13. Theres a thermo valve on the sandwich part. It operates when the oil temp is below 155deg, sending oil to the turbo. Once the oil starts to warm up, the valve starts to close diverting oil to the cooler. Depending on what you want to use it for, you might be able to remove the valve and divert the oil to go to the cooler only.
  14. Yeah, but Matts the only one with crabs:eek: Legs, that is:-p
  15. Hmmm, might try posting in the Wanted Forum?
  16. Yeah, loosen the engine mounts and detach the pitch stopper. Then jack it up. It may have to go pretty high, so you may need to get aggressive with trying to get in.
  17. To be honest, I'm a little skeered. I wont have time to fix anything I break (if I do) before the show as I will wrenching on my RX getting it ready:rolleyes: I need at least 2 more axles to feel safe.
  18. Dont think we will have that large a group, maybe a half dozen. I'll be toasting with a mocha:-p
  19. Thats the inside of the right front wheel. My RX didnt have a body kit when I got it. Cmon guys, I've seen some of the corny stuff some of you have done to your Soobs, give the guy a break. At least he's a Subaru enthusiast and not afraid to show it. I know of a guy thats a PNW local that has a WRX painted and decaled like that.
  20. I would remove the one thats still on. If it overheats and melts the plastic, it gets sucked up into the carb and creates all kinds of problems.
  21. I used to drive by his house on occasion when he lived in Bonney Lk. Never did stop and talk to him, I think he's just out of HS. I was at the SuperMall on Thurs, went to Red Robin for lunch with a freind, didnt even think to look around:rolleyes:
  22. The car belongs in a museum. Paul, when you sit down for coffee with the Prof, take notes:-p
  23. Hahaha, just wait till the 30th:headbang: I'm just getting primed;)
  24. Just a couple? PK is the first US manufacturer of the original BYB Aussie lift. Cant go wrong with Ozified.
