  1. Oh yeah, already did that. Look in the Off Road section on pulling stuff out of the woods:-p
  2. If you are going all the way into Enumclaw, your going the long way. Turn right on 400th (Krains Corner, little resturaunt on right with new stoplight) Go about 3mi and turn left on 244th and take it all the way to Hwy410. Turn right and you will cross a bridge and be in Buckley. You know the way from there. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=home&formtype=address&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&cat=&address=&city=enumclaw&state=WA&zipcode=
  3. 2hrs? Are you driving granny speed or what?:-p It takes me about 30min to reach the trailhead, I usually stop at the Chevron to get a day pass and donuts:rolleyes: All right, I'll try and make it there by 9:30 but I wont guarantee it. If I'm late I'll get on the CB #5 and holler when I arrive.
  4. Could be a vacume leak. Try the carb cleaner around the hoses trick and see if the idle changes. My first XT6 had a nasty crack in the intake hose that couldnt be seen unless it was removed and inspected.
  5. I have to turn a piece of 1x2 square stock into a 1x2 L shape. And its about 2ft long. I would prefer to cut as much as possible with my angle grinder, that way I dont have a bunch of slag to smooth off from the torch. Or I could find a piece of this size ready to go, then just cut the whole thing out and replace it with that. Save me from alot of work with the grinder. I might just make a trip to Fife to the metal yard this week:brow: Or, take the sawsall, cut the piece out, drop the winch in, then weld the sucker back on. I would like to see someone try and steal that sucker then:rolleyes: I think I'll try the latter way first. Cant hurt, and it just might be alot faster.
  6. If you can find it, use what the Military used all thru WW2. Its called cosmaline. I've seen stuff from the 40's opened up and still looked brand new.
  7. The vented rotor is thicker also.
  8. I need to do some aggressive metal removal on a cross piece of my bumper guard. My puny compressor is going to make it a tough job:-\
  9. I would check all your ign wiring, you might have knocked something loose. Might want to check your marbles also, think some of those might have fallen out also:rolleyes:
  10. If you can smell the fuel while your iin the car, its most likely in the engine bay. If not, I would assume its in the back at the fuel pump. I would check the fuel pump and hoses, its in front of the right rear wheel. If theres no leak there, check the fuel filter up behind the drivers side strut tower. From there you can follow the lines and check them out.
  11. Dang, why so early?:-\ I dont get to bed till 3am most the time (and thats not by choice either)
  12. Hah, dont think so. Actually, the few times he did pull me out, it wasnt anything serious. It was pretty lame. Got stuck in a snowbank......more than once:rolleyes: The pic above is when he blew his tranny at Evans Creek. And what you cant see is a full size van on my right. He was hooked up to me and pulling also. There was a big patch of ice down a ways and we couldnt get any traction at all. But I did pull him all the way out to the parking/staging area:headbang: Pics compliments of Zapar. Ok, just rememberd another time. It was when I first got the Hatch and thought I would try this area down the street from me. It had lots of mud and some deep holes. I was trying to turn around to come out and I dropped a front tire in a hole and a rear tire in a hole. I got stuck bad because my rear diff wasnt welded yet. Glad I had my cell phone....Thanks Qman.
  13. The heat shield on the front cat is the culprit. I've wedged a nut in there for a temp fix. Been quiet for a long time now.
  14. Not sure if this is conducive to my health, but I just had to:-p

  16. Ah, yes. Forgot about those.
  17. You need the rotors from a 2wd rig. I used to have a set, I'll try and look for them.
  18. On Subaru's they are. The SPFI on Subaru's is Single Point Fuel Injection They only other setup is MPFI and that only came on the turbo's.
  19. They should be Then

It doesnt look like the cage did anything to prevent your rear damage?
  21. ET drives a Subaru!
  22. Keep an eye on the cooling system. Radiators are readily available, get a 2 row if your in the market for one. I would get a reseal kit for the oil pump and the front of the engine (crank seal, cam seals) and maybe a water pump. The seals, including the ones for the rear diff are available from the dealer, only use OEM for these parts. A PCV, again OEM is another part to replace. Check all the belts and hoses also, the car has been sitting for a long time and they are probably dry rotted. And one other thing. Do you live in a rural area? If so, I would be wary of trespassing/squatting rodents in your heater ducts.
  23. I havent had a bad clock yet, out of ALL the Soobs I've owned. Thats over 20+ of them. That was my first thought, but the actual display was pretty wide. Then the Cylon came to mind, kind of fitting the theme of Pliedes(sp?)

The Air Force is the only Service that doesnt require Stress Cards in Basic:-p Hope to see the Hatch in action before you leave.
  25. There is no locking center diff for the 4EAT trannys. It works with transfer clutches operated by duty solenoids. By tapping in a switch to one of the solenoids you can send more juice to the transfer clutches which will give more power to the rear. Its a common tranny, even used in other makes/models of cars.
